Picked up my son up from school today for the first time with my Pig! He was super excited because he has been asking me for over a week!

Sounds cool! I do not know much about welding (as evidenced by the question I am about to ask), so do you have to be really careful to not weld your nuts to the block, but just the broken off bolt/stud?

Pablo,

You ALWAYS need to careful, while welding your nuts. ;)

That pretty much says it all.:D Cast iron is tough to weld so you're safe if you don't get careless. At least that was my mindset going in.:meh:

Sal,

How did you determine the flywheel was the problem. Could you see the problem, when you pulled it.

Ron

Ron,
I am not totally sure, but I would guess that the pilot bushing and TO bearing were probably not causing the vibration. But hard to say now. About half the flywheel had heat marks on it.

Got this in the mail so I can have some good drawings before I tear apart Bucket's carb and try to figure out what killed it. Time to lean about carbs I guess...

Spotto a 55

Well my piggy went to the market yesterday & met another one :)
Had a chat with the owner for about an hour, popped bonnets & exchanged stories. This means there is 3 pigs in a city of 130,000 people :D

You can just see my Pig in the background of this pic

I learnt lots. Gave me some leads on where to get spare parts. Really nice bloke.

Ordered a tire carrier hinge from A to Z Fabrications today so I can get rolling on my tire carrier. Been driving it for like 2 years now with my spare on the roof-rack. Also gonna start on the water pump today.

drove past one, parked next to the second and up against the third and kissed the fourth hello.
