Was this to solve the problem you were having with the lockers on Montana Mt.? Bad compressor? Or was this the process of elimination?
Yep, the compressor armature is hanging up. Time for a newer model.

Yep, the compressor armature is hanging up. Time for a newer model.

got it done with a new compressor harness, switches too. Had to make a custom plate to mount all the new stuff. Replaced the old switches and the inop knob in the middle with a power port![]()

)
Yeah, had the old switches which still worked great.I would guess the system was up to 20 years old? I already went through the diff and upgraded the arb seals last year so everything is good to go now. The system works great, I love the ease of use and positive lock.
This new harness requires the rear locker must be engaged prior to front. May change it later if I feel I need to?

WOW, you had the old push buttons ? I sold those a half year after I got my truck
just out of curiosity, do you know how old your lockers are ?
as for the harness, is the front locker dependent on the rear being on, or did you wire them independently ? - I really prefer the latter, and will switch our 80 to that, too when I get to it (2 or 3 spades to change, so)
I like the push button in the 40 best
