Got back from Germany to a nice care package from Australia. My 75 had some after market seat belts in it that were sketchy AF. They had the classic issue of pulling them out and they would only come out ~ 5cm at at time, yet sometimes when you gave them a good jerk like in an accident scenario, they would just spin out easily, no bueno. Got a set of OEM Toyota belts from @cruisermatt and just needed the covers which are NLA. Searching yielded this place in OZ which had some used ones, see link below. Parts were shipped very quickly and are just what I needed. After some washing and cleaning, these look great! Will get them installed once the garage temp gets above 4F….

Too cold to do anythingView attachment 4074287
That’s -36 F, feels like -60
🥶
Opposite just about here with 34+*C, which is hot as anything. Do have some breeze, but did all the hot work the last few days. Didn't get the 13BT moved into the carport which was my plan. I wanted it to be organised to go back in soon ish...

On Saturday I took the KZJ73 out in the snow here in TX for a fun drive . Today I was freezing my butt off in the shop where I do mecanical work so I started sorting out some boxes with parts in the other shop with the big heater . Took mr 2 hours to just empty and sort 4 boxes of parts and there are about 50 more . Time to start listing some parts and thinning the herd before putting the house and the shops on the market in March . End of an era snd off to new adventures soon .

I, for one, will miss you. I know why you made this decision as I too have dealt with a similar situation. Albiet not from half way around the globe. Good luck my friend. I wish you the very best. I hope our paths will cross once again.

Hi
Thermostat housing replaced, radiator and engine flushed and coolant replaced. No leaks, thermostat and waterpump is fine (🤞it holds up).

Next issue observed:
Power steering box leaking at output shaft. 😫
It likely had never been removed in 40years (1985).
Guess, I'm due for a complete resealing.
Gasket kit 04445-60030.
Anything I would need in addition?
Should I replace the needle bearings 90364-32003? (x2)?

Any idea / best practice on how to remove the hoses without that 90° SST?
Cheers Ralf

I am pretty sure we will meet again my friend , it's people like you and your lovely wife that make us proud to be a part of the cruiser community .

Electrical done. Galley mounted. Now connecting water, waste and electrical. There are 5 switches in the control panel: fridge, hydronic heater, fan, lights and compressor. The compressor relay (24 V) is in the engine bay close to the compressor.

The back of the galley has the shower, 110V and shore charger (90-240 VAC for world travel). The opening is for a gas stove. Inside there will be also an induction stove for cold weather.
