I wouldn't mind seeing how he modified it and attached it to the floor. No rush on snapping pics though

I'm at the age now where if I don't do while it's on my mind I'll never do it. :)

Thanks. Are those bolts through the sheet metal floor?
I believe they are but like everything mechanical, I'd have to confirm it with Rob to make sure he didn't have some gee-wiz idea.

That is exactly the issue I am having. At times when I am driving down the freeway, both the fuel and temp needles will spike all the way up then slowly go down. Freaked me out at first. Thank you for your input as I wasn't sure what the issue was called.

I've had the same thing as well. Both will stay there for hours sometimes, but I haven't had it happen for over a couple months now. So I'm not going to question it.

Just did a good 'ol basic oil change, but hey it's the continuous basic maintenance that keep them going right?

But more importantly, I finally updated my porch.

Finally swapped out my lame California plate. Thanks again @woody!! Took me a while but I got around to it.

I actually received my new power steering pump Tuesday afternoon. It is the FJ6X model that Beno recommended: direct fit once fluid reservoir is detached and some bits from the old pump are transferred over.
The 2 "local" dealers wanted full list price; with tax that was up near $600. Online Toyota dealer in Richmond wanted $340 plus tax and shipping. Came to $375. Ordered on Friday and it got here Tuesday.
Still waiting for seals that block off the top after reservoir is removed.

Spent 4 days torture testing new suspension and letting newbie standard driver learn as it goes. Learning when to clutch and selecting gears. First time in 4 lo on boulders etc.v capable truck. Gained access to site(exclusive)to launch boat and camp. Doug remembered a gift of some 22. ammo when he was living off the boreal forest 10 yrs ago now he's in charge of the site. Fished new water caught crazy numbers of walleye. Discovered miles of unused mining roads going ? Nobody knows kid discovered limits of 2 open diffs on uneven ground. Had sooooo many questions now that he sees what the clutch is for and it's uses. Down shifting on steep rocky trails for engine braking etc. still needs lots of experience. Taking truck on his own nxt week on 500km journey to work. Both more confident after shake down run. Stereo install on Thursday front seal on Saturday. Fingers crossed.

Finally finished my LJ`s front end, without the winch so far but it`s shipped so not for long! (The 4 top nuts is going to be changed similar to the others on BTW.)
Think this is about my 3rd or 4th front end without being happy so not 100% sure it`s the last
Hope Alex Gee doesn`t mind that I`ve "copied" the bottom end of his excellent one! But just had to do it to hide away the frame ends and lift the bumper a bit up to make it look the way I want it to.

Put a couple new batteries in it. Costco Interstates, Fitment Code 23, what they say is for an 80 series. About 60% what NAPA wanted for a similar battery. They fit much better than what was in it before.
