I don't think you ever get over the loss of a friend....it's even more difficult when you loose them to suicide. One of my buds in high school took his life, was really hard cause he was a talented guy but I believe he was struggling with some internal demons....I found out while working out at scout camp that summer, I often wonder what he would be doing today if he were here.

You have to make the most of every day...part of the reason I'm heading back to the scout camp this weekend, it's been too many years since I've seen some of the guys I grew up with....but its also great to know that when I get there we'll be like we just saw eachother yesterday .....to me that's true friendship, no matter how long you're apart you always feel that way.

OK, I got this email from one of our GSMTR sponsors yesterday and really wasn't sure where to post it. Seems like this thread gets most everyone's attention, so I'll post it here. If a MOD disagrees, feel free to move it. I thought it was pretty cool.

Dear Rick,

As 2011 comes to a close, we want to let you know how much we appreciate being able to make a donation to Upstate Cruiser this last year. At OtterBox we believe it is important to give back to the communities in which we operate. We are proud to support hundreds of community events and organizations each year through product donations.

Currently we are making a difference through our “Protect those who protect us” campaign by offering 5% of purchases from OtterBox.com to be donated either to the Homes for Heroes Foundation or UNICEF. Be sure to find out more about this on our website or by reading the press release.

As you plan for Upstate Cruiser’s donation needs in 2012, we hope that you will again consider OtterBox as a partner. We have revamped our product donation form, making it easier for you to contact us with your requests.

Until next time,
Team Otterbox

I can occasionally handle some "business socks", and God help us if there is more than one Steve... What would we do with double the carpetbagging, fun time ruining, know it all that is Steve??? Welcome back...

Steve, sorry for your loss...Been there done that.
My best friend in high school and my brother both commited suicide. not a fun thing to go through for sure.
They say "time heals all" I don't think that is true, but it does help.
I still think of both of them alot. I just try not to dwell on it.
God Bless
