Wow!
from the last page:

- Four cylinder turbo-charged 2.8 liter
diesel engine capable of running on
JP-8 fuel; and a four-speed automatic
transmission.

Looks to be a pre cursor to the m1163 ITV growler. Designed to fit and travel inside the osprey.

Thought the guy said 1.8 td but that's nuts. Has to be a blast to drive as long as you don't armor all the bench seat. This one appeared to be a manual or manually selectable auto 4spd

I triple dog dare you to buy that! then lets wheel it at Logan's run!

Purchased in 2004 from American growler for $28k with 11 miles. Now has 606 miles and wants $13000. Not that bad compared to a razor Full kubota drivetrain. 2330 NA diesel motor 1:1 diffs with Detroit lockers f/r 2 or 4wd. 4spd manual. 1 of 1 made in Robbins nc

Still trying to wipe the grin off my Face from getting to make a lap around the garage.

I have owners contact if anyone is interested.

That is a sweet little truck. As mentioned, for the money, it is likely a better deal than a side-by-side and certainly built stronger. I just wonder how far my head would stick out above the windshield???

Dude that started it for me was lt1fire size 6'4-6"? And was 1" above but cramped a good bit in the knees. Has Tiny flat seats. Needs micro buckets :D

It's not the one linked above since that must have been the winner of the contract. No turbo here. Couple more shots.

I want one of these. If i keep the mini as a flatbed i could just set up camp on the back. Hard to justify right now though as i have used my current cot tent once.

I totally "get" wanting to get off the wet ground or above a rocky, uncomfortable surface. But in cold weather with air circulating below you, any kind of cot/hammock is gonna be freezing. I heard from a sales rep recently that the Eno hammock guys have designed a sleeping bag that actually goes on the outside of the hammock, so you don't compress the insulation. Sounds like a solution to sleeping in a hammock in the winter, but also sounds more complicated than what I want to deal with. Give me a good ground tent any day.

I will say, that's pretty cheap for what it is.

I agree. I went on an elk hunting trip in Colorado a few years back and asked about sleeping arrangements before the trip. I asked if they used cots. The outfitter explained that in addition to them being more weight and taking up more space, they were much "colder" to sleep on that a sleeping pad. I ended up buying a therma-rest pad to sleep on. Temps got down in the single digits each night so every little bit helped. That and a 0 deg sleeping bag.

With that said, I sleep on my therma-rest pad on top of my cot when I tent camp locally. I get the comfort of a cot and the thermal (r-value) benefit of the pad under me. It works out pretty well. I have been in the teens around here with no issues. A cot alone with a compressed bag bottom would be uncomfortable to say the least.

As for the "bear burrito"... I mean hammock. I have never seen the novelty of them other than a Pawley's Island Hammock at the beach. For camping, I will stick to a good old trusty tent. $0.02

I wish they made a double-wide version. If they made one 4' wide or so, that would be a sweet trailer topper or just a good quick tent, with or without a cot. A little fab work would make a wider version of that very versatile.

I had a buddy with one of those all-in-one "cot-tent" things. It was huge, even when folded up and it was really heavy. It was still just a one-man deal that you had to roll out of to change clothes or put your boots on. It certainly wasn't for me.

I guess that ventura model does not include the cot at that price. So it's just a half pipe you place on top of your cot. I'm curious how it attaches to the cot, especially to create a bug free environment.
