Yeah, it is. Also available in several pistol cartridges (.357, 44Mag). One of those .45LC/.410 slug pistols would be easier to carry. I'm not out in the wild enough or a big game hunter, but I really like the design/engineering of this gun.

RTT wouldn't stop them. But I've always wanted one of these Marlin guide guns.

Now Rick, The tent wasnt for bear protection ;)
more rain and skeeter defense but that there is a beautiful boom stick. Like Stan said I bet that packs a punch... On both ends

I prefer a large caliber pistol for in camp bear protection, easier to handle in close quarters than a rifle or shot gun. I generally keep a .45 around along with a shot gun.

Agreed and what I had. Or should say what was in truck which made me feel a lil foolish when i came face to face with a mom and two cubs yesterday. Yikes. For some reason the clients are rethinking the outdoor kitchen now. :D

Now that's a boom-stick! Makes my little rossi .357 lever action look like a tinkertoy.

Anyone know of an honest roofing company that does metal roofs? I think I have roof damage and was looking for an inspection. I live just outside of Clemson.

Make sure you do your homework. I had a roofer walk away with $1600 or so of my money. Claimed bankruptcy, screwed people out of millions.. Georgia roofing.

Investigators from greenville came out to talk to me and everything.

So, just curious, has anyone programmed their Baofeng HAM radio yet? I just picked up a GT-3 Mark II and was wondering how everyone had set theirs up. I would love to have it set up prior to next weekend...

Where is it leaking? Chimney? I've got a metal roof myself but I had a guy do it but what I know now I would of had someone else do it. If it's the chimney call bless your hearth chimney sweeps. Mine was leaking bad around it and they did a jam up job fixing it and it's got a 10 yr warranty on it. If you can see where it's leakin in the attic and can get on the roof look and see if some of the washers have worn out, take a tube of silicone and goop over the heads till you can replace them. Also I think bless your hearth can give you some recommendations on a metal roofer, I remember them mentioning they had one they worked with. Do you need help getting a tarp on your roof tonight? Let me know.

It's a pin hole leak coming in. It's not near a chimney or any other roof vent. I'm going to call 3 places I found online and get some estimates. I might not be able to afford the metal from what I've read but going to see. I'm looking for standing seam single lock sheets with hidden clips. I have seen the type with the screw and washer and don't want that. Hopefully the rain will hold off. Funny part is my home warranty just ran up in July.

I hear this stuff works great

Yeah the standing lock and seam is the way to go, if I'd of had the money when I did the roof I would of gone that route. Next metal roof I do I will go that route.

That is what I am going to look at for our place when we build. We spec out true double crimp standing seam on our building projects and I have been looking at some of the snap-lock hidden fastener options that are on the market myself. They are nice systems, if you can get past the sticker shock  but are true 40+ year life roofs.

I was told by a roofer I trust that if you can't afford a standing seam, then go with a good 30 year architectural shingle before screw down metal.

Kevin shingles are vastly improved, definitely go with an architectural, 30 or 40 year, some shingles have an adhesive strip which allows the shingle to with stand a higher wind load. I am not sure who is the top dog as far as shingles these days, Elk shingles used to be the top but I think they got bought out. Not sure if shingles are in consumer reports or not. You could call Cannon supply or ABC supply and ask who is the top in shingle manufacturing. Good luck

Thanks. I've gotten 2 inspections so far and one says I have damage and the other says I don't. I'm getting a few more to see what's right.

Extended an invite to a young fellow today in a built Nissan xterra. May not be a Toyota but definitely not a jeep. 33's, oba and I am pretty sure he had lockers. Also lucked up and found gear oil on clearance 50% off at autozone here in pickens. Will be swapping oil soon.
