Toyota is pulling the plug on fjcruiser after 2014.

Surprised it lasted this long, when I was working for them way back in 07' there were talks then of ending production...... good news is for all you FJC owner now they will become "rare" :hillbilly:

What makes me really sad is Toyota is also dropping the 70 series after 2014.... although I can't even buy one here it shows they don't see a need to produce a truly rugged and utilitarian workhorse anymore. In my opinion it is the death of the true Land Cruisers, a sad day indeed :frown:

After seeing a 2013 4-runner I knew the FJC days were numbered. Basically it looks like they morphed the two together. Very similar inside. Flatter windshield, Etc.... Pretty sure it's been known since spring that 2014 would be the last year.

It's going to be missed but who knows. Maybe they are working on something else.

It was done in 2007 when the new Gen 4Runner came out.

It really is a shame that the Land Cruiser has gone the way of a glorified kid hauler. The up side is that the 60 and 80 series are gaing recognition similar to the 40 series. The harsh reality of it all is that those of us in this country that like to play hard off road are an overwhelming minority.

ughhh... cr ap... It is just missing a giant white tigerpaw on the door...

While appealing to many; it is too much and undesireable for a few. So goes automobile development.

Rough day today, our 11.5 yr old dog passed away through the night and the kids found her dead this am, just as we are about to walk out the door to drop me off at work since we are sharing a vehicle. (Remember I work 25+ miles away from home.) So I had to go bury her, 6" down I hit rock hard clay, great. Finally get it deep enough and bury her. Get everyone in the 4runner 1/2 way to Greenwood our youngest pukes all over the place in the car.Thankfully we knew she wasn't feeling well and were somewhat prepared. Pull over on side of Hwy 25 and get that cleaned up, by this point later than I wanted to be for work and son now running late for dentist.

Really hope tomorrow is a better day.

Sorry to hear Matt.

My washing machine decided to explode yesterday at full spin. Ripped the whole front off and the whole wiring harness went with it. Damn jeans. I thought for sure it was going to go through a wall or floor.

Get your wifes car back on the road yet?

They are really gonna do it!

In other words

"Degorate your wheels"

"this is the fancy valve decorated cap with four electrons, which is ma de by metal material,
which can instead of the original bad valve cap of the tyre, also show the beauty characteristic
of the tyre."

Instructions on some Chinese MG logo tire valve caps. Their spelling and punctuation. I especially liked the lower case start and the gap between "ma" and "de".

With all those electrons spinning around am I safe? Do I really want to degorate my wheels?

Went hiking to the top of table rock today. Exhausted to say the least.

Looks like a good time. I was an avid back packer when I was a younger man, probably kill me now :)

We are getting ready for winter. Stocking in fire wood, cutting kindling<sp> , sorting out horse blankets etc. Going to Tractor Supply today for the stuff we need for two more temp winter horse stalls. We have had one up for several months now and are putting up two more. Tearing down the old run in shed after that. I still need a new flue on the shop wood stove.
