Had to do the Chevy V-8's that way back in the day. Had to buy these metal pieces to put on the rocker arms though to keep from getting oil thrown everywhere. It was really easy to adjust them though. it was all in the sound they made.

I had an old set of SBC valve covers with the center cut out, worked great.

Anyone up for some random wrenching? Working on replacing headers on 100 in my driveway over the next couple of days.

Send good wrenching thoughts my way. ;<)

You can have access to the ONSC brain trust Saturday afternoon in
Troy... And maybe win a Yeti...

Passenger side 90 percent complete. I can't believe how bad this original set of dt headers rusted out.

The cracks almost look like there was some strain on the headers - almost as if the exhaust post header was putting a load on the tubes. Either that or those tubes are really thin-walled

This was the first set ever produced by dt and they used extremely cheap metal. Exhaust lines up. I will definitely check and have it checked.
Did u know toyota manifold gaskets are basically razor sharp?

Does this count as wrenching? Leatherique app on the seats while warm out.

Haha ....Says the guy with the coveted cloth seats. No envy here. Slightly sticky still and stuck in midget mode till I get another seat gear

Andrew sorry I couldn't resist. It's been around and well reviewed but I have a few issues with it so far but might be due to age of product and user error.

I used the rejuvenator oil, wrapped the seats in the sun for a day, then the pristine clean product to remove the residue lifted by part one.

I rubbed a lil hard and took off some dye but afterward seemed to notice more cleaner and less pressure yielded better results. Also my seats were recovered 10 yrs ago when I got the 80 and the sides of seats look to be original. They cleaned up exceptional and have no fade in color

I think I need one more round of pristine clean and a final buff as it is still tacky in places.

Mine came from emmon's coach works I think. There is also a dealer that gives a mud discount. Might be the SC distributor as Kelly sounds familiar from an old thread in 80s tech

I understand. My leather looks so tired and I got fired up with questions instead of searches. :<)

The seats look great.

Never used it on car seats, but there is a product called "Leather Milk" I use on my leather briefcase - happy to loan it for a test spot if anyone wants to see if it's as good for seats as it is bags.
