the newer hood don't fit the older body style (although you might be refering to another hood)

the fellow from aus put on on his hj75 ute.
https://forum.ih8mud.com/expedition...ries-inspired-75-series-ute-running-12ht.html

this is where he got it from
Fibreglass Replacement Panels | FRP | Wheel Arch Flares | Body Panels | Overhead Consoles | Battery Trays | Australia

$770 bucks plus shipping which may make the owner think twice about ordering one. Yet again with the quality of this build sometime I think the owner just says screw it, yes:meh:

ah yes, i remember checking into them back a while, i sent a couple emails with requests for weight rating and distance from the front of the hole for the intercooler to the rear of the hood as well as a pic of the underneath side but never recieved a response.
if they won't reply to a simple email then i would rather not be bothered, but thanks for the reminder.

once the intercooler is completed then i will research into a hood scoop ...

its annoying when companies don't respond.
Its a shame because that hood would look unreal on that truck.

Keep up the good work Wayne.

Wayne,

Thanks for the cool tip on breaking the bead in the field "even if its in a garage". BTW, this is one of the vehicle I would perfer to own some day. 90 series is to "yuppish" 60 is to well, borring, and does not have that out back look.

What does this model normally cost to purchase and import?

a troopy will vary in costs depending on the condition and the exchange rate.
i have seen some real crap come in for $15K and this one was roughly $30K including shipping. It was worth every penny it cost. nothing for rust. no dings. no existing body work noted.
when i am ready i will be looking for one in this condition, i have fallen head over heals for a troopy.

i watch this thread and wonder wow.

The effort the cost the quality I know must not be cheap as I am restoring my Volvo at present and I have gone $20k rm ($6KUSD) over budget already and I am no where near finished :) . This truck when fisihed will be awesome where is NAT GEO hahaha.

I wanna take it for a spin when its finished.

That front folding seat is wicked Wayne ! Around here folks are resorting to chopping the body and fitting a complete 3rd door ...

okay, this made me nervous. the idea of drilling a hole into a perfectly good roof?? this is for the electrical to the upper tail lights and license plate.

next was the sliding cargo barrier. the one that came with the vehicle was rated for 300# and the one i am building should be similar.
first was cutting the original and getting the angle welded in. this is taller than the doors by 1/2" which means if a load shifts and IF the sliders snap then the angle will take the brunt of the impact...

the frame has to be wide enough to be able to tilt the seat flat when the barrier is slid to the left and full entrance to the rear when slid to the right.
this meant a frame similar to the original was in order so why not use the original and modify?
there will be a flat 2"X1/4" bar from the top angle to the bottom to reinforce the over lapping doors.

aligning the hinges and catches for the rear console.
the partially cut out 6X9 speakers in the rear
the rear console completed and ready to install. SS fittings. waiting for the right length bolts for the latches hence the doors being open still.
