Yeah, it really sux man, I feel for ya. At least you haven't got tooo much $$ into it so far, so if you can find a block or even a long motor from someone who's done an engine swap, you can build up a sweet donk and then you know she's all good 😉

That's pretty sweet, but badly dented front fender, buggered seat upholstery, stained carpets, looks like a badly leaking front main seal....and they want $6800😲😲
I can't believe how much Cruisers are worth in the States, you'd prob get 4k or 5k for that over here (and that's in Aussie dollars).
You guy's should be importing 'em from here..lol😉

I’ve spent possibly 2-3k (I had the head rebuilt previously, manifold planes, etc)... shop cleaned the block, overbored, honed, decked, etc and I’m going to assemble. That includes parts and tools.
Others who had a shop do the full rebuild spent between 5-7k.
 
There is no option except to junk that block. You need to find another block and then build a franken motor with a lot of machine work. Machine shop $ 100% dependent on how many hours of work + parts. But overall I would find a motor that simply runs, drop it it and drive for awhile. Even if you have to have it shipped from a Mud member or vendor shop. With all the motor swaps going on guys have to be dumping their F motors like @Hojack
 
I have a stock bore short block. taking parts and the head off of yours could build you a motor. You would have to come get it in Yosemite, about a 15 hour drive each way. Call me at 209-604-3039

Pretty sure that one sold already. It looked like a stellar deal. With any luck it went to someone who wanted a 60 vs a flipper but it was a prime flip target.
