Hey @Outsane, if my older FDM printer (BIQU-BX) says it can do ABS, can I assume it can also do ASA even though it's not specifically called out in the manual? I thought I read ASA is a recent filament type so maybe had it been around when this printer was made it would have been on the list?

I reprinted them in PETG, sanded and painted. Got them all wired up and installed. However, the relay I had for ignition switched loads isn't working so I have a new one on order. I did verify all switches and loads worked directly connected to battery so I'm almost there

And done!

Here's my final layout. The large bus bar up top is constant +12v from the battery, this has the bilge, nav/anc and horn switches connected to it. The relay on the top left is a marine/sealed 40amp unit. The bus bar on the bottom left connects to the relay for ignition switched loads, the blower and all other lights.

Here's the before (minus the red/black multimeter leads). Obviously this was a little neater but I wanted reliability more than tidiness.

Yeah, they're around. There's a guy in Oregon wanting to sell his with only 200 hours, original owner too.

We had a family reunion last weekend at Fontana Lake in Western NC and took the S22. We decided to take the scenic route which took us along the Great Smoky Mountains on the Foothills Parkway. Much to our surprise, the end of the parkway dumps you off on the infamous Tail of the Dragon, 300+ curves over 11 miles. We took our time and made it safely to Fontana Resort. The 8.1 Suburban towed the boat like a champ.

The lake water was incredibly clear but with an interesting teal color. The views of the Smokies were amazing. The S22 did great. The only issue was a leaking prop shaft seal. Thankfully I wired the bilge directly to the battery so I just connected a battery charger to the battery over night and let the bilge run automatically. I did tighten the shaft nut and it dropped to about 2-3 drops every 5 seconds versus a steady stream. Regardless, time to research shaft seal options.

Is it still a rope seal?

Yeah, it's Teflon impregnated I think.
Find out shaft size (probably 1” or 1 1/8”) and get a drip less shaft seal setup.

Work for initial install, no maintenance after. No water in the boat either. If I can help reach out. I’ve owned 4 wake boats, and worked at a dealership for 3 years as a service manager/ tech.

I've seen those, wondered if they were the way to go or not. It's a 1 1/8 shaft. Do you just tap off the sea water cooling system for the water source?

Yes off of a pressure hose on the fresh water system.

Does yours have a crossover hose between the exhaust manifolds? That’s the best spot to put it the water feed line for the seal. Just get a T fitting and roll on.

What about one of these that don't require a water feed?

I have used those a couple times and they worked out.
