We brought the S22 down to Smith Mountain Lake (of What about Bob fame) for the long weekend.

It was a good time on SML this weekend. The S22 did great. Tons of power for the hole shot and throws a decent wake for having no ballast. This is my 16 year old learning to wake board.

The guy at the boat ramp asked if I brought this down last year, which I had not. So apparently there are at least 2 of these Toyota Epics around.

Not bad at all! Looks beautiful up there.
I live in Virginia and also have a 2001 Epic S22. I would like to connect but can't figure out how to send a DM/PM on this site.

Love the boat and you got the s22!!! i never see those boats come up on the market. Just boat an x22 last week! Any tips you can sure with me I’m also a first time boat owner!

The best place to check out is epicmarine.com. There's a forum section as well as a huge library of maintenance PDFs including the Toyota FSM for the marinized 1FZ.

I haven't had any time this summer for boating but I did just switch insurance carriers and they needed pictures of all 4 sides of the boat. So I pulled it on to the driveway, took off the winter tarp and Sunbrella cover, dropped in the battery, hooked up the fake a lake and cranked it....

I need to find some time to take this thing out on the water....she's too pretty to be a yard ornament.

I did discover one of the brake line flare nuts sheered at the end of the season last year. I'm on the hunt for the right SAE flare nut and came up empty at both Auto Zone and Advance. The guy at Advance took me to the hose barb fittings rack when I asked him where brake line flare nuts were. His comment when I said that wasn't it...."I usually don't work at night." If I recall correctly, the brake calipers are from a 90s vintage Plymouth Acclaim.
