Thoughts on this? It has 3 seals and a grease zerk to keep them lubed.

Hmmm. I like the thought of water lubricant in those applications better. I feel like it would need greased very regularly

I just picked up this NOS oil cooler assembly for a 1UZ VVTi engine (what's in this boat). 15700-50030 with a made in Japan 90915-20004. ~$1500 list price, picked for the low low price of $60. 
I couldn't help it. Mine is no where close to needing a replacement but on the shelf it goes.

The guy on FB who's trying it said the zerk is between the front 2 seals. So the front 2 seals lubed by grease and the rear seal lubed by water. I'll be curious how it works out for him.
Yeah I’d be curious as well.
I could see it in a race application, however the oem new boat use the water supplied seals and they last a very long time. With basically zero maintenance

A couple updates. I took the S22 out a couple weeks ago and duffed the prop in to the ground about 50 feet from the boat ramp. Total bonehead move. I was approaching the channel marked and instead of getting on the proper side I figured the depth couldn't be that much different 10 feet on the wrong side. Nope. Thankfully a good Samaritan gave us a quick yank over to the channel and we got on with our afternoon. When we got out to open water I didn't feel any excess vibrations so we decided to enjoy the afternoon. When we got back and pulled the boat out of the water I was able to see the damage. I'll get this repaired in the off season.

I started winterization yesterday. Pulled the spark pugs and sprayed fogging oil in each cylinder. Sucked out the oil and replaced it with fresh Kirkland 5w30 synthetic (on sale now BTW) and drained the sea water strainer, pump, exhaust manifolds and the block. The block drain petcock was seized so I removed the whole plug. I bought a replacement but in order to install it you need to remove the fuel pumps. So instead, and because I couldn't think of a reason not to, I just cut off the little curved end and had my daughter reach up there and get it threaded in.

New prop installed (Acme 525) and de-winterized. I also installed a new higher flow rating blower fan.

Hooked up a fake-a-lake and started right up. The 1UZ is so smooth.

No lower unit, this is a V drive. But yes, water running through it via the fake-a-lake.

You should have driven up for last year's CLCC swap meet and show and shine. I dragged this puppy over there and got a lot of curious looks as I was pulling up.
Do you have these 3D printer files you could share? I have this same exact type of boat and would like to swap out my buttons as well! Unbelievable work here sir!!

Let me know if they work (post a pic even). This was the one and only 3D printer exercise I've done so I'm curious how they'll work for someone else.
