I will be doing the same. Factory wheels…. Kendas. Just got her home this morning. Ready to be all gussied up. These 12.5s are obnoxious, especially with no PS

Quick PSA @fireflyr looks like your front shackles are facing the wrong way, the anti-inversion bolt needs to face the axle. Back to regularly scheduled programming

You are correct. My signature line explains it but if you’re reading this on a cell phone it’s because of the Saginaw power steering conversion. Eventually I will swap them for some conventional shackles.

Sorry for the redundancy, I guess I'm last in line now

Haha, no problem. It’s something I need to fix and who reads signatures anyways. I just need to bite the bullet and order some of the Hell for Stout grease-able shackles.

WOOHOO, 4 of the 5 tires showed up, a shipping anomally on the last one.
Now to clean the wheels and refresh the paint, and then install

No PICS? Never happened

You’ve been here long enough to know… Don’t make us shun you :)

Post up
I've cleaned the wheels , scotch-brited them and have the second coat on them. Paint is a little slow to dry so I have them curing in the office warmth. Here are the tires. Plus I can't install them till I have the ubolt flip kit machine work done. Hoping by the end of this coming week.

You can get the non-riveted oem wheels through Toyota. Get them when one of the dealers with a big online presence is having a sale and free shipping. Did that for all 5 for my 40 and 60. Ended up around $90 a wheel each time with free shipping.
And if going with hubcaps, buy them from the dealer at the same time for $12-15 each, not the $100 a set they sell for on eBay, etc.

Serra Toyota is have a 25% off sale with free shipping. Sale ends today.

I bought a bunch of stuff for my wife’s Highlander and some stuff for Norman.

I stand sort of corrected: up to $200 dollars off of shipping, so in the case of 5 wheels the shipping is still almost $200. A screaming deal if you can go pick up though.

I mounted 4x of the tires today, I'm stoked about them.
It will be a whole new experience with taller shoes on her. I'm very satisfied with the minimal tire bulge out. These things have some deep thread.
And the 5th tire just made it here.

FYI,

I still haven't taken any pictures of LC with the tires on and on the ground.

It looks great on jack stands. I've been trying to finish up my completely revamped brake system, and self-made U-bolt flip kits.

She is now sporting a dual master cylinder, power booster, all new lines, braided hoses and rebuilt wheel cylinders. Just having trouble bleeding it by myself, maybe help will be tomorrow, And I'm hoping I don't have to re-jigger (modify) it.

I also installed a new clutch master cylinder, hose and slave cylinder.

Also, I have re-vamped the steering system, now power gear box, Chevrolet tilt steering column, new tie rod ends and links, no more bell crank sloppiness.

Holly fuel injection now, hope it runs better, and no more hoping it keeps fuel in the bowl and keeps running.
The unveiling of all my upgrades is planned for the roundup. Then I'll post a few pictures, a little suspense, I want to hear what others think about my attempted handiwork.

Once that is done, hopefully the upgraded cooling system, new water pump, fan and clutch and new pully setup, will be buttoned up, and ready to fire up and see if it cools. And then a belt on the power steering pump to get that bleed and functioning.

New seat belts have been ordered; I need to finish up the seats I’m recovering. And many other little things prior to a test drive outback and make sure all is good.

And then a few road runs, after I realign it, and check to see If I have proper caster with the 4-degree shims and see if all is good otherwise.

Then to the muffler shop to re-do the exhaust system from my exhaust collector back.

I haven't committed to new shocks, just had to stop spending somewhere for now. So, still on my old OME shocks.

So yes, I've done a bunch of upgrades, (do one thing and it leads to another). She has been down for too long, so I'm treating her to a nice 60th upgrade.

And all this is getting done on a cruiser with less than 50,000 miles and a "F" motor, and an NV4500 transmission with 3 speed t-case.

3 weekends till the roundup, I think I'll make it. Luckily my business is slow (right now), so I have extra time to really be working on it.

Sounds easier when I say that real fast.

@Howl , I love the look of yours mine will be sitting just a little taller.

Ok, I finally have the new shoes on LC, the 33" are only 32" tall with the truck sitting on them with 40 psi in the tires.

Everything is close to working out, so that I'll make Katemcey. I'm waiting on a new holly fuel pressure regulator. And hope that corrects the high pressure and the loading up situation.

And then off to get exhaust run out the back.

Glad you're happy with the Kendas- for the record, my MT's have been great (I thought I was getting the RT's, but the mechanic got these instead. Don't know what someone meant about going sideways with these, they've been great so far)

Man I love this 40. Just the epitome of a survivor with modern flare.
