For sure, I think it looks better than the factory paint. It's way easier to maintain and I live in the mountains where the roads are salted. Pressure washes easy, and looks like new every time. Sorry I don't know much about upol liner or spraying liner

I would love an update after your first trip to moab. I still have red dirt stains on my rig from last year lol.

For those that have "lined" the hood, have you had issues with it staying up? A strong breeze will cause mine to slam closed if I'm not paying attention and that's with factory paint (minus a couple of layers )

Get the strongman or whatever they're called hood struts. I have em and closing it is a workout.

Do your lat pull downs!

Joined the club. A fab shop my boss rents office space sprayed the 80 for me. Turned out pretty good. Has typical texture, but seems pretty bullet proof. The shop uses Raptor for all their bumper and paint jobs. http://www.u-pol.co.uk

I'm happy.

It's probably been asked but what holds up better duraback or monster ? I will be rolling it on Wanting a smooth upper part white and lower textured orange ? Thanks for the input

Anyone done a color change? Did you coat the door jambs or leave them the original color?

I really like this and I want to cover my Cruiser, but I want minimum texture. Anybody have tips to achieve a more smooth finish?
I also plan to replace all the window seals, especially since I have some corrosion around the windows. Should I tape off these areas?
If there is something I can search for a good write-up on the process, let me know. I don't want to screw it up.

Liner party? I'm getting ready. I just pulled my factory roof rack and am getting ready to JB Weld/smooth the holes out (very little rust) and then do my roof rack. I want my truck lined before I do that....

For those of you with white 80s, which color Monstaliner did you get to match? I realize it was white, but was there a particular white (monstaliner color code?) that worked best? Thx

slightly off topic...

my sliders need a recoat. they are pc black but thinking about lining them with some leftover al's black kicking around. anyone with lined sliders? or should i just rattle can them?

Mine are painted with the same liner. See my pic above. Was kinda for fun. Not sure I like it, but the rocks will take it right off ;)

I would just rattle can them. I hit enough stuff with them trying keep pretty is pointless.

Other thing is the texture of the liner is fairly aggressive, good for "non" slip sliders, but sliding in and out of a lifted truck chafes the back of legs.

I was trying to get Toyota Cygnus white. Eric did not get a tint special made, so I mixed 3/4 white with 1/4 killer beej.

Thanks. I was looking at that killer beej color. What tint does it have, yellowish?
