It appears that you 93 is factory 045 white and you have applied Bedliner (brand?) in a brighter white along the bottom of the sides.
My question: What brand liner? Have you had an issue with the white Bedliner becoming grungy looking and not wanting to come completely clean?
Correct, my cruiser is 045 white. The liner is white monstaliner. I didn't realize when I purchased it that it would be such a vibrant white. I have not had problems with it getting grungy looking and not wanting to come completely clean, I hardly wash my cruiser most of the year because it rains most of the year and actual washing is pointless.I generally pressure wash it every few weeks and directly after I go wheeling. I was kind of hoping it would dull down by now but it hasn't.

I painted over Al's, I can't think of a reason you can't do it with Mostaliner unless they say you can't.

Anyone tried to match night shadow pearl? I'm not sure how a dark blue line job would look with the factory pearl in the door jambs. Or if it's possible to do the blue tint to match and hit it with a metallic clear coat?

Did mine awhile ago..... I LOVE IT.
Rolled on.
The day I did it...

Hey Justin, is that the Toyota 045 white? Looks great. Were the supplied rollers and tape enough for the entire job?

It is just the monstaliner white, they only have one white. I did not want to try and match it. It is brighter than any factory white 80 I have seen. The rollers they supplied was enough, after awhile they do fall apart so don't be afraid to start slapping it on. If I did it again I would get three gallons, two was cutting it close and there are some spots I wish I could have done again and with the extra I would have loaded up the bottom half of the car. I did not use the tape they supplied, it was cheap. I also suggest putting the tape on, with it overlapping the paint and then going back with a razor blade and cutting it super flush with the trim, then monstaline it!
so you get nice lines like this

Where in Norcal are you located? Have we met? 45 run? turfnsurf? If you want to see it in person and you are anywhere near the bay or in between the bay and Reno let me kno.

Located in Vacaville. I was planning on tinting mine the O45 and already bought tintable kit but think I will buy a third gallon and more rollers.

Yeah get that third gallon, when you think about how it's the paint, the cost is easily justified.
The tintable kit should work fine.

Vacaville that's close! I will be passing through Vacaville this Friday and then again on Sunday on my way to and from the bay.
We should wheel sometime:steer:

Absolutely. I had put together a long list of local Mudders to go snow wheeling and had some interest going then I rolled my rig so I'm gong to be rebuilding with a replacement unit.

For those who applied Monstaliner several years ago, how has it held up to many seasons of running it through tough brush? Have you had to reapply in places and if so, did you have to start from scratch, sand off the old, prep and reapply the new? Has it faded in any appreciable manner?

The paint on my 95 still looks great but I buff the hell out of it every year. Even with that, it is a losing battle as the years progress. After 20 years of use, many of the scratches no longer buff out so.....thinking about the bedliner route.

Does Monstaliner show scratches? Even my Safari snorkel has deep scratches in it now so I am curious how well the Monstaliner will hold up to that kind of wheeling.

What tintable kit are you talking about ? I didn't know monstaliner had that option ? I thought the only options are the ones they have

They send you a kit that has no tint with it. That way, you go to the paint supply store and buy the tint you want but it has to be for solvent base paint systems not water based and it cannot contain binders. They have explicit instruction for buying tint which I included in the attachment.

There is plenty of talk about just how durable Monstaliner is compared to paint archived here on Mud and elsewhere on the net.

I'm considering doing this to my 80. Paint is in bad shape and I have a bunch of dings that need fixed too. Has anyone done a big color change like red to white? I'm wondering if once I knock down clear and clean up all the dings/scratches if I should prime everything before lining it. Seems like most people just knock down clear and roll it/shoot it on.

Thanks @baldilocks !!! upon further research I found the PDF with more info

Here is the link: Monstaliner do-it-yourself roll-on truck bed liner

Look for the "Tinting Monstaliner with Auto Paint Tints" Document

Just sharing in case someone else is also looking into this

I think you really only need to prime bare metal. Otherwise just scuff it up like you said and you're gtg.

I was wondering if anyone lined over their flares instead of taking them off. I went through a few pages but didn't see this done.

I did the flares, put them back on the truck with new rubber, and it actually looked pretty good, but I ultimately removed them - well, the desert chaparral removed two of them for me. Better with them off if you ask me, but that depends on your use.
