Can anyone that has lined only their roof share some pics? Curious what lines you chose. I can't decide if I want to carry the line from the rain gutter around the back or not.![]()

Has anyone added another coat (3rd) months or longer? I did two coats but would really like to add a 3rd in the spring. I still have to pull the roof rack off fill the holes and monstaline the roof. There are a few rough spots on the hood and fenders I'd like to smooth out.
This is a sexy beast, just monnstalinere in black the rest in clear coat ?
Neither close to factory green whicj]h I really like, is it possible to customise ti ti actual factory green ?Have you ordered the color chips? Jungle Love is nothing like the factory green on the 80s. It's very saturated and 'cartoony' looking. I was hoping it'd be like a dark hunter/forest green but not the case when I saw the actual color in full sunlight.
This is Jungle Love and WWII OD Green against the green factory paint on my '96

That looks greta , not my cup of tea since i need my tuck for "business" but bad ass , takes big balls for a truck like this![]()
Rolled on some black a few weeks ago. Texture could have been better if I was patient and put on thinner coats, but overall I am happy. OEM color was red so I krylon'd the door jambs.
Any update on what you've done to rectify this problem ?I know a lot if not most people on Mud are fans of Monstaliner. I hate to be that guy but it seems I am that guy.
I wanted to like this product, I really did. See my posts in this thread a ways back asking about how it works.
Mine got done in late June of 2014. I didn't have time to do it and also needed a re-clear plus had some painting done so I had a buddy do it who is a pro. He restores cars for a living and has been doing that his whole life. He sanded it all back, he followed the instructions and he sprayed it on at my request. Within 2-weeks I had several large chips in the liner. Now 6 months later I have upwards of 10 large chips. Just the other day I had my hood up, hood struts are shot so I had a 2x4 in there holding hood up. It falls out and hood slams down on the board. About 5 nice sized chips in the liner on my hood now.
Sorry folks but Monstaliner is weak and sucks. I can not attribute my chips to application. The dude who sprayed it one restores $50-100k muscle cars. I am positive he did it better than 99.9% of people in this thread. From what I have seen, it is just like and no better than Dupli-color or whatever that cheapo roll on bedliner you get at the auto parts store. In fact I put that stuff on a work truck over 10yrs ago and it chipped just like Monstaliner had the same finish, ect ect.
Eventually, I am going to have to have it all sanded back and get a real liner applied like Line-X. Had Line-X on a truck before and it was awesome, never chipped, tough as all hell. I don't care about color since I went black anyways.
For me Monstaliner was a waste on money and now has made my truck expensive to get it done right. I was going to go Line-X originally but people on Mud swear by Monstaliner so I gave it a try. Bummer for me it sucks and is chipping badly and easily. At least as easily as my paint chips, maybe easier. Rocks make it blow out and flake off around the rock hit. It is lame.
Cheers
Whats with thee lumps ?, tha looks rough ?
@pandathrust, I wish that color was a touch darker to match the factory red a little better but its in my top 3 of choices for what I'm going to do my 80 in.

I forgot that I haven't added my Monstalined pics from this summer to this thread. I used a gallon of blood bath to cover the lower body from the body line around the lower valence in the front and the tailgate in the back. I also had enough to do 4 lines on the roof to cover the welded factory roof rack holes as well.

How can I get Monstaliner tinted to the factory white? Tried a mix of their bright white and the killer Beej color. Turned out not even close. Can a paint shop tint the Monstaliner? Thx
Great. ThxMonstaliner has the specifics online but you get the tintable monstaliner. You go to an auto paint store that can actually mix colors and give them the paint code. You want just the tint. I used 10oz of the tint per gallon. The directions online will give you the specifics but that's pretty much all you have to do. It's pretty straight forward and easy to do.
