Glad to hear that. Can't say I really care what some random Australian/British/Whatever comedian thinks but the the more these false arguments are put out there the more people believe them.

I'd love to hear that same guy give a balanced act on both sides. I think we could all use a few more laughs in our lives and to take things a little less seriously.

OK ... how cool is this?

Last summer, I bought myself a new carry 1911. Love that pistol.

So, today I am being dangerous and perusing Gunbroker and saw my carry gun's twin at a good price ... OK, great price. I looked closer, and sonofabitch if the serial number isn't immediately after the one that was on my hip. A sign that it had to be purchased (even though timing sucks big time).

What are the odds that I could buy two guns of the same model 12 months apart and from dealers separated by 2,500 miles or so and end up with a matched pair with consecutive serial numbers? :grinpimp:

My current pistol is XXXXXX357 and the one I just agreed to purchase is XXXXXX358 ....

you need two??? are you a two fisted shooter also?

Nope, I believe firmly in buying two of your primary carry guns. Shoot one enough to ensure it is reliable and carry it, keeping it well maintained.

Wear the other one out practicing.

I thought so ... 'bout fell out of my chair when I realized it ;)

Where are the pictures of these matched pistols?

I want to see a picture of you, with two shoulder holsters, with one gun on each side :hillbilly:

Also, the Dixie Gun and Knife show is Saturday. If I'm not tied up with something else, I'm gonna go.

Anyone in the Triangle, or in the Triad, free?

It'll be a week or so before I have it in my hands. Can probably accommodate one shoulder holster and one IWB. :grinpimp:

We are hopefully doing a mini-vacation this weekend. We are packed every weekend after until the SEP event with the club.

I did get my Wake Co Range permit last week and zero'd my 300 BLK with the new scope at 100 yds. New scope has markings for subsonic and supersonic on the same reticle - - i don't have to re-zero between the two rounds anymore.

I may test at 50 or < yardage tonight.

I have only tested the 100 yrd super sonic and the 100 yard subsonic. Works pretty well. Put the cross hairs on at 100 yards w/ 2350 fps 110g and then put the tip of the second diamond on the target at 100 yrds with 208g 1050 fps subsonic.

im thinking about heading over to the fair grounds tomorrow.
Dang, I didn't check this thread yesterday...Johnny offered some help with my 80 then we wandered the aisles at the gun show. One of the busiest (both vendor and patrons) I've seen in a long while.

Dangerous though...been trying to keep my promise to Mikaela and give her the carry pistol of her choice. We had toured the various shows before, she had decided on the Berretta PDQ, against my advise so I stalled. Thanfully, the G43 has become readily available, allowed me to pick one up at the show yesterday. Found them at most booths, cheapest was $450, so I had to pull the trigger.

Fits nicely in the hand, can see it as a legit Glock pocket gun. Big question is how am I going to keep this in my possession and not send cycle a few hundred rounds through it before her b-day next month. It would only be responsible for me to make sure it's broken in correctly, right?

Jerry picked up a new gun and all I got was a light:

Love the light. Great for home defense. I would love to have one - -tired of worrying about my Surefire tactical that is on/off of my 300 BLK.

I WILL give it to Mikaela, really I will. The light fits well, nice addition for sure.

For those who care, did a couple side-by-side pics of the G43 and G19 (my daily). I haven't shot it yet, holding and dry firing, feels good in my hands, can get a full grip with the addition of the finger extension on the mag. I'm sure there are technicians working night and day making +1 and +2 mag extensions to fill up the same space as the OEM finger extension.
