Got a good pic of the round?

Looking for a 200M rifle range for 300 BLK. Will take 100M if nothing is available, longer. I just need to sight in my new scope. Anyone know the closest to Pittsboro, etc?

Wake County Firearms Center has a 100yard indoor range, so that's the closest, and longest, I am aware of.

I've heard that there are some more ranges down near Bragg, but I have not been there.

Thanks, Johnny. I may check that out. I need to shoot the 300 BLK supersonic, though, but have a silencer for it, so . . maybe they won't mind.

I know the range at Uhwarrie was closed for a while for rifle. I guess it would be a long ways off in comparison. I think its max range is 100 too.

I don't think there were any restrictions about 300 BLK at the Wake County Firearms center. I know they don't allow steel core bullets, no tracers or "armor piercing" and nothing above .50 Beowulf. Maybe it's worth a call?

Uwharrie is the next one I know about, but it's ~100 miles from here.

Wake County is pretty nice. Hard to beat an indoor 100yd range a few miles from my house.

..but you might want to look into Woody's Hunting and Rifle Club in New Hill (500yd, soon to be 1000). http://whr.club/
they hold a Designated Marksman Match that I've heard good things about. http://woodysmatch.com/

and a lot farther north is Frontline Defense in Warrenton (1000yd) http://frontlinedefenseusa.com/about-frontline-defense/

Durham Pistol & Rifle Club is between Durham and Burlington http://www.dprc.org/ it's nice and has a 300 yd range.

not sure if you can shoot at any of them without being a member but there are lots of options in the area.

Brought out the Garand last night to give it a good fondling. Now I need to be reminded why I ever bought a black gun.

Because when you shoot the Garand your shoulder gets sore? :)

Not really.

John, I need to set you up with my friend at CMP and get you shooting in matches

A big thanks to Jason @jfz80 and dadofjason for having me along on their trip to the Sophia shooting range (Triple Target Range). They took their VERY fun AR's and I took some old iron that's been collecting dust.

Looks like a frind's farm I used to shoot at in Middle Tennesse. He had an old house on the place and had some 1/2" steel plates hanging at 75, 100, 150, 200, and 375 yards. It was a lot of fun blasting at those with handguns. The hold over on a 8 3/8" 44 Mag at 375 yards to hit a 32" diameter plate is pretty redonculous :hillbilly:

Very cool! I think Jason and I shot there a few years ago, but not sure...

Both of these are for sale. Less than 50 rounds for the gas guns and less than 30 for the bolt gun.

Bolt gun - $4,000
Gas gun - $3,000

Open to offers and am flexible if someone is interested in these...I need money for garage stuff!!

This is beyond funny, with a great deal of truth in it

that was pretty good, thanks for sharing.

I have to disagree. I watched it. Strawman much? If he didn't loose ya on the one sided arguments when he said gun owners were the same as slave owners he lost any credibility.
He's not a bad comedian, I'd like to see his non-political act.

I'd love to sit down with someone who holds his views and could carry on a rational conversation about that topic.
