Beautiful Rice, but your tools are too organized

So not sure if anyone has read this already, but glock just released the g43, a single stack 9mm cch style gun. Thoughts?

There are plenty of single stack carry gubs out there now, Glock should have done this years ago. Granted, I have no problems carrying my G26 or G27. :meh:

The actual "announcement" is online at noon. I thought about watching but I'll be in a meeting. ...of course all the details even approximate price are already out there online.

I do want to see one in person. Slightly larger than a 42 (.380). Heard it described as a thin 26.

You guys are as bad a Jeep and Apple fanboys with your Glocks ;-)

Ignorance is bliss: I just tell people I don't know any better and that is they way I want to keep it. :)

I would say that a Glock is more comparable to a Toyota than a Jeep, though - and definitely not the Apple brand - that would be HK or Smith and Wesson.

I think the "Armalite 7.62 mm AR-10A4 Trijicon Acog" kinda sticks out like a sore thumb in that list :)

ArmaLite 10A4 w/ an Acog - That is like $3500-$4000 + of gun if purchased new together depending on which Acog, etc.

My ears couldn't handle a carbine version of .308/7.62. I made that mistake once.

Only gun pic available for the auction

We're all just Land Cruiser fanboys anyway, so what's wrong with brand loyalty? :D

Ruger 22/44 or Browning Buckmark are definite must-haves. Both similar in quality and feel. I'd take either one but I went with the Browning. I love my Buckmark. Fun little target pistol. Reliable as a hammer too. 1000's of rounds through mine. Brings a smile to my face every time I shoot it. I wish .22LR was as cheap and easy to find as it used to be.

Haha - I'm used to getting my balls busted over my Apple gear, so it was very tongue in cheek. I do, however, think of it as the opposite view laid out above re: Jeep vs Land Cruisers... b/c so many people have Glocks, and there are others out there arguably as good if not better. I honestly don't care at all, so I don't want anyone to get offended... seriously 100% joking. Glocks don't fit my hand as well as my Springfield or HK, so I look at it as a bit of a bonus to be a little different than 70% of the pistols I see at the range. Unfortunately, aftermarket support is WAY better on the Glocks, but then again I'm used to that situation.

It made me think of Apple because of the way Samsung ran commercials when the new iPhone came out - about how Samsung had been offering "feature X" for over 2 years. I'm sure I'd have a Glock too if they felt right in my hands.

I know I didn't take offense to it. As far as I am concerned, you shoot what is comfortable to you and what you can shoot well. Nothing else really matters IMO. :)

With that said, I'll have the G43 as soon as I lay eyes on one in a shop. I've wanted a small pocket type 9 for quite a while and just didn't like the quality or price on the few models I looked at. What was out there just didn't suit me.

If there is one time it's important to pick what fits, its with a handgun. I've been shopping with Mikaela and I only want her to have what fits and is reliable. Problem now is she says my new Kimber is what fits best...
