a win is a win...bet you were not complaining about winning games on the ground during the Spiller/Davis era.

Having a run game will do nothing but open up our throwing game.

S.Car has done pretty well for being a one dimensional offense the past few seasons (relying only on garcias arm and sometimes his feet) Finally having a run game is very exciting.

don't forget about our D, the past two seasons we have been ranked VERY highly and this season should be no different.

Out of town all weekend but I expected a lot more posts after the way this weekend went. Good to see Clemson getting in all those walkons, and seniors who never played, and guys who rejected USC for the chance to play at a real school. The real score was like 49-0 after that the third string and below came in and levelled the playing field a little for Pres.

You mean all those guys who were afraid of playing a REAL schedule and opted for a high school schedule
by attending Clemson.

if you want to play REAL football on saturdays you don't play in the ACC.

like i said before P.C. and N.Texas do not prepare you for the SEC

Bad weekend for the ACC good weekend for the SEC.

I can't believe USC jumped to 13th. Great game by the Cocks, and I won't say that GA was a down team, but a 13th ranking for the win doesn't seem right. I guess all the fall-outs from the ACC really helped push them up.

If we can contain the run up the middle, we'll have an ACC over SEC victory. Simple as that. Plus we have all season to work on the OL break in the middle before we play the University of Lattimore.

If you did a little research before you opened your mouth you would find that Clemson was actually scheduled to play Pitt. but they withdrew from the contract and in a pinch we added PC to help out an instate school.....

And remind me David who is it that you play this weekend?? Oh that is right big bad FURMAN; not to mention you have already played and Conf. USA opp. in S. Miss and still have another cupcake to go in Sun Belt powerhouse of TROY.... give me a break. At best this is a case of the "pot calling the kettle black" :flipoff2:

I do find it funny that Troy is scheduled for the week before the Clemson game; guess the coots need a week to rest up before stepping over to the weakling ACC for a match-up...

You should look at SOS before you go comparing apples to oranges.
I think CU's SOS is around 200 by some counts. USC plays a top 10 SOS every year.
It's looking like PC and NT may well be a sterner test than the rest of the ACC. Heck I bet
before it is over those two will help CU's SOS. Pitt.....wow....I'm so impressed with who
CU didn't play.
Heck S. Miss was added due to UNC wimping out on us this year.
I'll give you 10-1 odds for all you can handle that by year's end USC has a tougher SOS than CU.
Heck I'll spot ya 10 places in the rankings.

Look USC may go 2-10 but at least we get our butts handed to us by REAL football teams.
I didn't start this stuff .....YOU mocked the talent at USC and inferred Moo U 3rd stringers were
the players recruited by USC. Do some reading before you bring that weak arsed Dabo cheerleading
smack here.

Actually that was Richard bringing those inferences.......... my arguement was that USC's out of conference schedule was just as weak as Clemsons if not more so;p

I would never be foolish enough to argue something as subjective as who's conference is stronger.... I like facts.

Fact:

USC plays 1 FCS team (Furman) and 2 non-BCS conference opp. (Troy, S. Miss)

Clemson plays 1 FCS team (PC) and 1 non BCS opp. (N. Texas)

you tell me who scheduled more out of conference cup cakes this year.......

Fact: A Clemson team from the weakling ACC conference owns a huge lead (65-38-4) in the series against a USC team from the superhuman SEC :flipoff2:

My bad. I should have known the smack was from Richard. ;)

Hey if looking back in history makes 34-17 sting a little less...glad to hear it.

And if ignoring the past makes your brief moment in the sun that much brighter  to you sir!

...... the CU/Miami game tailgate should be fun :grinpimp:

By then, a Clemson win could knock the last ACC team out of the top 25! Go Tigers!

Georgia down!!!

FU will give us a good game to see Shaw and the other backs in action.

when you play in the SEC and two of the teams you face this season are the winners of the past two N.C. there is no need to scheduel top notch non-conf. teams. Your already playing the best in college ball

after Auburn mops the floor with you guys we will show you guys how to run the ball!

Heck S. Miss was added due to UNC wimping out on us this year.

The game was rescheduled because ESPN wanted it to be, ESPN assured South Carolina it would have the season opening game in 2010 against a to be determined opponent. And USC would also get the season-opening game against North Carolina, in whatever year that it's rescheduled.

I don't think it had anything to do with wimping and everything to do about what ESPN wanted.

Such a tiny band-aid for that gaping 63-17 hole in your heart. :grinpimp:

Yeah and I can vividly remember 56-20. That's when the CU cheatin' began. :grinpimp:
Ask yo Daddy...he'll remember THAT day. Ask ol Howard about hat tipping. Glory days are just
like 34-17....they's long gone.
It ought to be special in Death Valley this year. Tigers should be riding high by then. Good.
Wouldn't want it any other way.
:hillbilly:

Since you brought up ESPN:

I am a solid Tiger fan, but I was pissed that they picked PC for the second game. You can't tell me that ESPN would have been glad to find CU a better opponent for a home game than PC in a pinch. Screw helping out an in state school as an excuse. Clemson CHOSE PC and that's the bottom line. If I was a season holder I would be even more pissed. Clemson fans need to call a spade a spade sometimes.

I just hope they radios here talk about the upcoming tiger game like they did the cocks the past 2 weeks. Their excuse was weak opponents, but now USC is playing Furman soo we'll see.

Jeremy

i think the hype about Lattimore will carry on for a few more games if not the rest of the season. The guy is a gifted player and exactly what S.Car needs to take it to the next level. No one can claim this guy is not the real deal. This is the kind of guy you can build a team around for the next 3 years.

Lets just hope he keeps up his commitment level and keeps a level head about things.

The Georgia win was HUGE and caught much more than just local media attention.

Any ACC team will have a hard time taking the spotlight away from a red hot up and coming SEC team with the past few seasons your conference has had.

Should be an interesting season to say the least!
