Rig looks great in the snow! I was hoping we we get some good snow (upstate SC) just so I could cruise around in the 40. We got a dusting and that was all.

Just have a hose ready to get quickly rinse off all the cancer fairy dust afterwards!

And that is the reason my rig was restricted to the hood cruise......the main roads have a brine on them. My Tacoma has that dirty-white coating on it from the past two days of travel. I'll be hosing down the body & the undercarriage come Thursday or Friday.

We made a trip over to my folks house today, before we left my wife said let's take the 40. Usually a sentence I love to hear.
I said "are you crazy there is salt on them there roads, we'll take the van"
Hopefully that's the first and last time I say that ;)

They are even starting to salt roads up here in Northern AZ, I thought i was done with that BS when I left Buffalo!!! Arizona may not be the Mecca it once was for rust free vehicles much longer...................so sad!!! You would think people would learn, but we have lots of Califonians here who are clueless about driving in the snow. I want cinders back!!! I have also been avoiding taking my 40 on Highway 69 which they are salting.

Yep, go to this website ( City Racer ) and open your checkbook, money will magically just disappear!!!!! :D

Upgraded to some LED's headlights...now they match my LED clearance, turn & marker lights.

Thanks, @Racer65 ......This gave me a chance to remove the chrome headlight trim/retainers and work them over with the 0000 steel wool. They now some shiny suckers!

Rig looks great!!!!

Oh, needed to refill my grease gun....disposed of the dark grey Valvoline Palladium and opted for the NAPA brand, made by Valvoline. I think it is very similar to their GM/Japanese stuff that is red, but its color is amber. I'll leave the moly stuff for the knuckles.

I've always liked my Procar Rally Seats, but thought I could use a little more room in the seat. I always liked the look of the Procar Elite Lumbar seats, so I ordered a drivers seat to test it out. It came in, I installed it, drove around the hood, parked the FJ40, and promptly removed it. It wasn't very comfortable to me. There is a raised pad just under my thighs, and it was bothersome for just a short ride. So back to JEGS it went....so perusing the interweb, I came across these, Procar Rally "Extra Wide (XL)". Ordered the drivers seat and installed it. My comments: I really like this one! :smokin:

You can say that again. . . each time I visit @Racer65 's site I find something new I need. . . or just want! :)
Money well spent though; he offers quality items that can be difficult to find. . . and while it is easy for the total to add up his prices are actually very good/less than you can find from some of the bigger vendors.

I love how you have made this FJ40 your own with upgrades specific to your tastes, yet have kept it true to its original form.

Your 40 looks great. This is one of my favorite threads.

I dont think I could say it any better!

Can you share how those new seat belts are working out for you? They look to be the CCOT units right? I need some and was curious
as to the quality and how they generally feel off-road as well as on-road...

Thanks and Cheers!!
