Johnny - The cardboard box is rather small, compared to the FJ40 itself. Yes, it does have a tow strap, an 80' - 3/8" galvanized tow strap that is....However, that rather small brown package does weigh over a hundred pounds. ;)

Mike - I'm letting the chassis paint dry for 7 days and then will put the pieces back together. My rigs new front configuration happens this weekend, and will post some pic's afterwards. It's going to be a cross between "Old School" OEM parts along with "New Technology" pieces.

Read your whole thread from start to finish and you are doing a great job! My cruiser is in as great shape as yours, but everything you have done so far is very inspiring! I don't feel like I have to start cutting and replacing rust right away any more. Keep up the great work!

Are you planning to cut a nice big hole in that pretty bumper to route the winch? Like this? Or do you have another plan?

Holy-moly, not only did you cut a big frigging hole, right smack-dab in the middle of a perfectly good OEM Toyota Land Cruiser bumper, you welded on it TOO?!?!?!......Yea, that was option number 1, but.....

Well, to be honest, I started with a free, dented bumper with about 20 extra holes drilled in it. Welded all of that up & then the 3/8" plate. Powder coated to match the other silver on my truck - not OEM, but darn close.

The perfect "price" by any standard. Well done on the fab work, looks like something Toyota should have taken note of....

That is a tall order Rick. Looking forward to your solution.

Great job! Looks like you will be spooling synthetic on your winch drum?

I'm really looking forward to this bumper "build", I have long term plans to do something very similar.

I'm confused by the new winch, what winch did you have previously hidden under the Warn weather cover?

This is going to turn out great, but your getting close to not having any projects left to do! When your run out, give me a ring cause I can't see the light at the end of my tunnel....

Btw what's the apx cost of a new oem bumper these days? I'm torn between "refurbbing" like @gcrump01 or just buying new. Seems wasteful for me to buy new when I have an old one but certainly would be much easier

The new Toyota 52111-60030 OEM bumper, list for $204. I bought mine for $137.

Update on my front end work:
