So I didn’t mention it yet but we swapped rear coil springs out, it had OME 860 in the rear, we installed 863’s. The fronts are currently OME 850’s.

So @kelly saad did the grill. With the big v8 1VD intercooler a stock grill was never going to work. Although this does still retain the stock grill plastic surround. I wish we had of coated the intercooler black now but at the time the decision was made it was a no for that. Not a huge deal to coat after the fact and it does currently have a unique “sleeper” look!

Emblem is FJ60, new OEM.

Horns had to be relocated due to the big v8 intercooler.

Interstate MT27 battery.

One of my favorite engine bays in all our builds so far. Just because it is simple, basic, clean, no clutter, ect-all.

I doubt there is another like this one in the USA, maybe one or two?

1HDFTE, H152, full time 4wd HF2A tcase, 80-series chassis and axles, Alu-Cab, custom fit bumpers, custom built main fuel tank, custom built 3” SS exhaust, e-lockers, the intercooler which is also custom fitted, PowerBrake massive front brakes, FJ Company alloy wheels, Unichip with 5map and on and on!! Can’t be but a handful worldwide like it, the 80-series chassis swap really is not something common at all. And due to it, plus the nice suspension, it handles fantastic! Add in the really nice seats and it is dreamy to drive!

Well here is some more Troopy pornography!!



This cluster as I have gone on about in the build thread before is from a HDJ78/79 out of Aussieland. Tony had originally grabbed it off EBay-Aussie. They are rare birds right because this is an Aussie only cluster and it wasn’t even made for 8yrs!! It also came from a HDJ7x that had diff locks. Not to mention a wrecked Cruiser or whatever at almost exactly 120,000kms!!!



We can’t reset this Speedo to zero but this is the next best thing in my opinion. It also has a new OEM HDJ78/79 ECU which is now an NLA part!!

Yes the check engine light is legit and working in this cluster. Normally we use the glow light or air box filter light for check engine light but since this is an HDJ78/79 cluster….

Took it for a nice drive today, did 120kms. It now has 180kms on it or 111 miles!

Oh yeah, I weighed it, surprisingly only 6300lbs with about 1.25 tanks of fuel.

Front axle was around 2950 and rear was around 3300.

absolutely stunning. If it were mine (it's not and I couldn't afford it in any case) I'd pick different wheels. Personal taste of course.
