absolutely stunning. If it were mine (it's not and I couldn't afford it in any case) I'd pick different wheels. Personal taste of course.

I'd park it in my driveway any day.

It requires 17” wheels due to large front brake kit. It also needs 4.5-4.75” of backspacing. So there is not a lot of OEM wheels that suit the specs.

Another last piece of the puzzle, inner ash tray mount. This also serves as the mount for lower center dash.

I don’t really want to get into it or tell the story but….

The used 1HDFTE from Germany did not work out as planned. It was giving us problems in cylinder four, burning oil even after a second rebuild. This really slowed down the build and basically was just plain f#cked for all involved! The owner has been very understanding and patient, what he wanted was a new 1HDFTE long block! So he got one, it is in and the Cruiser is back to rocking & rolling!!

Stereo is also pretty much done.

Next week we should get the right die needed for our new bead roller. After that we will finish the top cap on the sliders and those are done. A winch is going on and some other things as well!

Zero issues! It’s awesome being full time 4wd, nice suspension, the 5spd, the engine, ect. Real fun to drive!

I weighed it, 6180lbs with just me in it.

Pretty happy to have any engine dramas behind us now! The FTE performed excellent on today’s drive which went up over 6,200ft.

STUNNING 😍

This first slider cap is a prototype, we like it though so going to build it! Notice the cap wraps over the outside edge. 😉🤙

Sliders coated, not the best pics. Finished late in the day and just pushed them aside to cure over the weekend.

A couple better pics of the sliders. We sprayed them with 2k epoxy primer and Raptor Liner after. I have tried paint, powder coat and bed liner on sliders. Bed liner if applied correctly holds up best from my experience.

These are more steps than sliders for sure, however they are built strong enough to easily jack the Troopy up off of them or take hits off-road. They are wider than a normal slider, again main purpose is for a step. I wear 10.5 boots so they are not as wide as they look.

We also made them as wide as the front fender flares, whole length. This will keep shopping carts and small cars away from the body! Off-road it will keep trees and boulders off the body in tight situations.

When it comes to “overlanding” well I drove to Panama and back with a 17ft sea kayak on my truck. Getting that on and off the roof, I can tell ya from experience you want a nice wide step to do it! You can stand at the front of these without them being narrow and standing on your toes to say, tie down the front of that sea kayak or perhaps it is a paddle board. I have had to do that many times and on your toes your calves sure start burning if it takes much time! Also stowing the Alu-Cab from my limited experience needs some side tucking of the canvas, that is now easy with the steps. With the current ride height of the Troopy and 285’s for tires the Alu-Cab roof seam on the side of the Cruiser is 82” off the deck, that’s 2” shy of 7ft!

Here is also final of the main fuel tank we designed and built. It’s above the frame rails, just barely. I am pointing at the tcase in the first pic which is not above the frame rails.
