Here's another shot the maybe better shows how much of the rack is taken up by that tent.


The 4-person Kukenam XL or Autana XL would probably cover the rack where the Maxtrax are as well. The 4-person models have a 4x6' closed footprint.

Best I can give you. It's an Autana instead of a Kukenam but they're the same size, just the Autana has the annex.

Well, I've had my tents in all kinds of conditions, from high winds, to pouring rain to waking up to 8" of snow on the tent, 100*+ temps. But even though I had camped in the cold before it was generally close to freezing at the worst. Well, at the end of January I headed to southern Utah and Arizona and we had 6-8*F temps overnight. Those single digits is the lowest temps I've camped in and like all the other conditions, the tent was great and I was comfortable. Nice sleeping bag helped, but I was pleased with how comfortable the night was in spite of the cold.

Another recent announcement in case you haven't heard yet is the new Luxury Mattress from Tepui. I just got mine last night, but I was able to check them out first hand at Tepui HQ last week.

Haven't had a chance to get it out of the packaging yet.


These mattresses use a higher density foam than the standard Tepui mattress and there is an additional .5" layer of latex foam on the top that is very soft. So these are a noticeably more firm than the standard mattress but still very soft and comfy with the latex foam layer. Being able to compare these side by side with the standard mattress last week made it easy to see and feel the difference.
I'm a side sleeper so the slightly firmer mattress will be nice.

Right now it's an extra option but I'm trying to find out if/when they plan to make it a standard thing. Stay tuned.

Wasn't bad. It was a little stiffer than normal but went on just fine.
