So here’s the results of the ashtray condom experiment. Not pristine but passable for keeping water out of the ashtrays. I hate it when my cigar gets extinguished during a rain storm and worse destroying a good blunt.

Need to tune up a few details on the process. And hope to make it quicker to make so that I can share.

For my pig with new Masonite panels I will cut new 6 mil visqueen as a moisture barrier and caulk it to the door using latex caulking and caulk the condom to the visqueen. Latex painters caulk is easier to remove then the factory sealant. That way when the machanics of the door needs service I woun‘t have to tear the seal apart.

I am told that the backing to the new door panels is waterproof so maybe I can just caulk it to the water proof panel. Will see when I get the panels. Do to arrive soon.

All this talk about caulk makes me want to go have a chat with the wife.

I just used butyl rubber tape for new vapor barriers on my FZJ75 and then had to go back onto the doors a week later. You can "tear"/gently cut the butyl with a box cutter and remove the vapor barrier pretty easily (without damaging the vapor barrier btw). The nice thing about the butyl is it just all sticks back together like nothing happened.

The sleeping giant has come to life screaming “I can’t take it anymore”. So my mistress has received her Xmas gift early. Seeing as how she selflessly took my wife and I on a glamping trip up the Big Sur coast It seemed only fitting to allow her some new under wear. Not the thong she (and I) was hoping for but something at least presentable for public consumption.
