I never did thank FJ60Cam for loading those videos. Thanks.

I updated my rooftop water supply from a 9” tall 6 gal tank to a 5” tall 11 gal tank. 12” lid for easier cleaning and anti slosh foam for stability.

Also went with a 4 1/2 gal Fuelpax, only 4” tall

Do you have a link or more info on the water tank and how is slosh foam used

Plastic-mart.com. RV freshwater tanks. Hundreds of sizes. With or without holes.

I get them with no holes. Order the lid I want and bulkhead fitting. I just have a ball valve mounted horizontally on the bottom of the tank with a garden hose fitting. The 12” diameter lid I got for this has a breather that I stuffed with a breathable foam so dust and dirt are minimized. Also the large opening allows the ability to reach in and clean it as necessary and the ability to but in the anti slosh foam.
The slosh foam is a very porous foam and comes in 10”x10”x4” squares and you get enough to fill the tank. I’m going to leave a cube out around the drain hole. As a place where water will migrate too easily. Best deal was at JEGS. Around $4 a cube.

My tank is 36x19.5x4.75. So half full the water has the ability really fly around in there. Not a good formula during quick stops or hard turns on steep trails. Similar type of foam used in racing fuel cells.

Hope that works for you

Wait a minute!! What's that BUGEYE????

Not a Sprite.
1958 custom Triumph TR3 I built 18 years ago. I fabricated the aluminum tonneau cover and wheel skirts. Retro fitted JC Whitney large moon hubcaps. Blue printed engine. J&E pistons, Carrillo rods, nitrited harmonically balanced crank, CC head, 10 1/2 to 1 compression, Quaife LSD, Custom 5 speed transmission ( tall 5th gear), Koni shocks front, custom built lever shocks rear, ceramic disc brakes front, ceramic drum brake rear. Mercedes Metallic Silver with 7 coats of clear.
Don’t know top speed cause the needle stops moving just past 120, don’t know what red line is cause needle stops just passed 6k. It loves cruising at 100, tap the go fast pedal and yahoo!!! It tracks like it’s on rail. 30, 60, 100, can’t tell the difference.
It’s been in 3 tv commercials, the last one was a Mercedes commercial out on Willow Springs Raceway.
I’ve put over 35k mile on her chasing the twisty turnies and straight arrow flats and she’s still hot.
Have given a few Porsche’s and Ferrari’s a wake up call

Sorry for steeling this thread but she has been a bit neglected lately

Never say never:

So a few pages back during the special engine build I said the exorbitant piston and rod choice was ok because it was my last build

Unfortunately I’ve had a secret fantasy of owning an early version in original stock condition with the side mount blinkers, hence constantly on the prowl.

Well I spotted this 1970 2 weeks ago on the C-list. No side mount blinkers but extremely nice with all original components. New cloth seats bad radio install dirty engine bay.

I was viewing the pics and my wife busted my pig porn session by saying, to her chagrin, “that’s cute”. Therefore I just drove a new member of the family 1035 miles from Portland Or. to Ojai Ca. It drove like it desperately needed to get out of Oregon (flawlessly).

Your wife was right, that's totally cute!

So a while back I became interested in having headrests for my ride. Having seen many on lots of different years many on 77’s. Hence Dustin (RUSH55) answered my call want ad and we struck a deal. Only hick-up was a 550 mile each way journey. Fine if your on holiday. Well 6 months went by and hadn’t been able to arrange a holiday so I looked into shipping. $$$$$. Finally made the decision to do a round trip run to to pick it up. I have done 1,000 miles in a day gas and go.

Well to my amazement Dustin decided on his own that he was going drive to meet me part way. I told him, I in good conscience could not ask him to do it.

Yesterday of the 1,100 miles to get that seat with headrests. Dustin knocked out 440 of those miles.

Thank you Dustin and everyone else who goes out of their way to supply these pigs with life.

Since I have been in this forum I have been the recipient, and seen, an untold amount of gracious, unselfish and carefree actions that help keep my faith in humanity. But it also makes this forum truly a family.

I was going to start a thread called, “ The Golden Fellowship of the Pig” but who needs another AA club. I figure just a tear jerker like this every once in a while would be enough. After all, we are “The Iron Pig Preservation Society”

Best to all

Trying to come out of pig hibernation (caused by heavy work over load).

The last trip I took was to Coyote Flats above Bishop. Went with Christian and his buddies. Roaring time!!!

On the way back, shifting to second gear became a problem. Finally got a chance to tear into the gear box. Main shaft splines almost vaporized and bearings rattling like a baby rattle.

Don’t think it would have survived another trip. Back together now and hope to get a break from work soon.
