Can you flat tow it?

I probably could, but in a fantastic turn of events Steve picked it up last night and hauled it up to GMP for us.

Nice. Hope you guys have a great time. I have enjoyed the ACC event at GMP. Good time.

I think there are a few pics floating around and when I learn to work the youtube I have a vid of the first drop off 2 and Steve has a REALLY good one of me rock bouncing up 16. Pretty fun to watch. That little 1.3 got a solid workout this weekend. :grinpimp:

I have a few minor tweaks to make, but overall I am pleased. I think the Mrs. Enjoyed it. As her skill and confidence increase she can only get better. With the first trip out of the way I think the nerves will settle and she will be good to go next time.

Pics, pics, pics, pics. Really the maiden voyage of this things and no pics, come on you two you know the rules.

If you are on facebook there are some trickling in on there. They are on the ACC event page, or I think we have been tagged in several of them. I will put the Mrs on trying to save and repost some later today.

Give it hell!!!! I see the art of the bump is being learned, looks good and 2 thumbs up for all the work! Now, how do you stuff 4 days worth of camping gear in there for 2 people?

Thanks Ted.

Packing = Serious skillz, you don't even want to know where the carseat goes. :hillbilly: In reality the 80 served as, and will continue to be the work-horse and packmule for trips for the foreseeable future. Eventually we will pick up a proper tow rig, but for now we will just take it slow and steady, borrow a trailer or a tow (thanks again to Steve) and drag the squirt where we need to go.

Freaking awesome. Lockers next!!!!

Glad to bring a smile to your Monday.

I am thinking a little "lincoln locker" action may be in the future. I have a spare diff just in case.

So I know this is a little late, but wanted to say thanks to all those who serve and have served. Happy Veterans Day. We couldn't do what we do if you hadn't done what you do. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.

Very nice man! I love it. Im currently looking for a Sammy for my wife. May hit you up for some info and vendors. Maybe we can wheel this spring.

Hey man good to here from you. When you looking to be back state-side? We definitely need to grab a beer. I picked up some Jackalope swag at a brew fest a few months ago :D

And when you get deep into the sami search let me know if you have any questions. As you can see I have become pretty intimately acquainted with them over the last couple months.

I should be back early spring. Just in time for wheeling weather! Ill take you up on the Beer. Ill bring plenty of Jackalope growlers with me. Thanks for supporting the company.

Ive about decided I want something semi-built with a lift, and tcase gears, and maybe the 1.6 8V. Im not too worried about body damage or paint as I'm gonna line the whole truck. Already got a set of 35" MTRs to put on her. Just gotta keep looking till I find the perfect fit.

Thread resurrection....

Well after a long hiatus and some shaming, thanks @tkinze , I am digging the Squirt out of the moth balls, gonna give it a once over and get some use out of it.

Short list is:

- Rebuild the front axle
- get some kind of cage in the front half
- new clutch
- fix the leaky heater valve
- brake lights and signals

Here we go again.
