I would have no problem building a temporary platform to raise the floor above the wheel humps, I could also add guide rails to make loading and unloading easier, since I'd be doing this by myself.

I'm slowly renovating a small camp, so I only need to carry a few sheets at a time. Trying to justify the upgrade to the 200-series by thinking I can get rid of my current pickup.

I've never tried a sheet of plywood but we have fit giant windows, a hot water heater, cement, gravel, TV's etc... We use ours as a truck forsure!

This is what an 8x4 sheet looks like in the back with ARB drawers. I am somewhat more constrained length-wise because I'm tall, and usually have molle stuff on the back of my seats...but this lets you see that there is plenty of width...

I can absolutely live with that.

Big time stupid question - does the cabin AC need to be on if I want to run the cool box? I know the cool box runs off the AC but didn't know if the system needs to be otherwise engaged. I'm one of those guys that keeps the AC off when not using it rather than letting it run constantly (as the auto setting seems to do). Thanks

To run your cool box, you'll need your cabin AC on. Conversely, to turn off your cabin AC, you must also turn off your cool box (kind of deceiving, you think you're turning off your cabin AC from the console but you really can't turn off the cabin AC without first turning off your cool box)

HTH

Edit - you can also run your cabin AC without your cool box on, just press the switch inside your cool box.

Thanks, definitely helps!

On a side note, is it beneficial for the compressor/condensors to leave climate on auto - theoretically leaving the AC on constantly? Seems to me that it would give those parts extra wear and tear. However, I have read that modern climate units are designed to run when ever truck is running. Any rhyme or reason for manually turning off AC vs auto climate.

I'm the wrong person to ask, if for no other reason than I'm lazy. I use the auto climate control and just leave set at 72. Seems to work well in winter months, and no complaints in the summer. Just one less I have to fiddle with. (Doesn't mean I'm not doing lasting damage / premature wear & tare, however)

In my previous vehicles I've always shut off the AC compressor about a minute or two before shutting the engine down - I have been told this helps reduce condensation (esp. in humid areas) inside the AC system and thus won't smell bad. With this fancy Auto setting - I haven't done that very much and really haven't noticed any funky odors...so maybe the engineers have that issue solved?

Need to revive this thread, I have so many questions now that I have mine home.

Today: is there any way to stream video (Netflix or saved locally) to the rear entertainment system, via Bluetooth? Say from an iPad or laptop? DVDs are sooo 2000's...

What year?

Oh sorry, I always forget that you can't see sigs on mobile. I have a 2011.

The sig is available you just have to turn your phone sideways for that info to appear. Mind blowing i inow

I cannot comment on how these solutions work as I haven't tried myself (yet), but others have posted some alternatives to in-dash only entertainment options:

Prestigious Society the only bypass option?
Playing iPad video in 2015 LC
Nav Override FAQ
LX Prestigious Society Install
Navigation hack? Can't set destination while driving

Then, buried further down into individual build threads, you'll find more references, photos, instructions, etc... Once you review some options above, you'll be able to use additional key-words for further searching, but hopefully this is a start for you.

Hmmm... OK, I'll see what I can glean out of that, but looks kinda in the "not worth it" column.

Today's question: my map DVD is original, dated 06/2010. Any secret sources for the updated ones? ~$170 from the dealer, OUCH.

Need a picture. Was starting on the baseline project tonight (changing all fluids and filters), I realized there is no cover on the + lead of the battery, which seemed unusual. Then I found it laying on the mount for the UCA, behind the battery. But I can't figure out how this is supposed to be installed? Can someone post a picture?

Here's the best pic I have of my stock battery:
