Keep it for the core charge! I get where you're coming from (insert middle finger to B+ here), but don't give them any more of your money!
You're right. Though I do have 3 other batteries sitting in storage, so I guess it becomes a function of how vindictive I feel when that time comes and how my wallet is feeling at that time haha. But you're right

That’s funny, it even lists the Deka part# in the specs. That battery is the slightly larger 1231PMF (by capacity and weight) vs the 1131PMF most of us are chasing. I believe OReilleys had the rebadged 1231 as well, but it wasn’t as readily available.
Gotcha. I didn't notice the difference. Using your part number "1131PMF" gave me:

Yeah.. that’s a steal, especially with the holiday savings.

Anyone following along, Napa is carrying Stedi lights now, I dont have any yet, but they seem to get good reviews in these parts.
I have been happy with my Stedi's. Running their ARB fogs and 7" driving lights. I had not heard they were at Napa until recently when trying to go to their AUS site and being redirected to the new USA site showing only where you can buy them. The price seems higher than what I had paid before, but nothing is getting cheaper.

SQOD would be "what is everyone running or biased towards in terms of Bluetooth OBD lI scanners"? From what I could gather Carista, OBDLinkMX and Bluedriver seem to be the three?
Check this thread.

What’s the best way to get oil off CV boots/rubber components? I’ve heard brake clean not being recommended. TIA

Uhh... many of us have our trucks sprayed underneath with oil every winter. Think of it as rustproofing.

But if you really have to get it off, I usually use something like Super Clean, then lots of water rinse.

Right. I’ve read those POR, woolwax, etc posts. Thankfully I see salted roads rarely if ever. This was meant to determine whether or not there’s an oil leak or just poor cleanup on another car.

What's a good method of measuring the voltage on the starter battery when the car is off?

Multimeter?
Well, more of an alarm or something. Something that will notify me that my battery is too low while using accessories.

Ahh. There are lots of ways, depends on how serious you are about it. There are low voltage cutoffs you can put in front of the accessory circuit. Or I suspect you could just use a Bluetooth voltage monitor directly tied to the battery, or any always on source..

Put a load across the battery and THEN measure the voltage. With no load, the battery voltage rises to an unrealistic level.

of you want to do it with the entire car off. put a 120 ohm 1 watt resistor across the two terminals, or clip on some other load, like a spot light, etc

You want one of these:

I have a dual model, installed right by my driver's seat, I see it every time I open the door, and I can glance at it while driving. It has alarms that can be disabled.

I see Tundras all over the place emblazoned with "iForce 5.7L V8." Is it really any different from the plain Jane 5.7 in my LX or is it just marketing hype?

same engine. iforce is a marketing term invented to keep up with other cool-sounding motor names prevalent in the truck world.

Kinda reminds me of my friend's scratch-built racecar, which he named iBAM (short for "I bang Andy's mom" :hillbilly: )

Mine starting doing this VERY badly after a safelite windshield replacement. I tried adding rainex and claybaring, but nothing helped. I had been using the "high end" autozone rainex blades that are one solid body instead of the old ugly metal ones. For some reason I thought that could be the problem, so I got a set of the cheaper old fashioned blades from autozone and the problem went away! I'm on my second set of cheap ones and they work great.

My guess is the curvature of the glass just didn't work well with that design of blade.
The long "beam" wiper blades NEVER work for me. they grab unless it is raining full on.

Rain-x

Does anyone know what mark 60340 or 60150 means? I ran a search and data labels came up. Is it possible these point to specific GVWR or load ratings?

I've never noticed that in my adventures through the parts lookup system.
