1st month I was doing 1 wheel well trimming a week to fit the 39s. Was super slow and I was not motivated and wasted a month. You've been nonstop on this thing, coming out great!
I didn't have to remove my 4x4 labs to install my antirock for what it's worth1st month I was doing 1 wheel well trimming a week to fit the 39s. Was super slow and I was not motivated and wasted a month.
As the clock got closer to April. I started getting worried about my build pace and not making Rubithon. Last time I went to Rubithon was 2018. So I started to go non-stop and busted my ass a little every day.
I'm just SUPER stoked I get to drive it today and start breaking it in!!!
I still got the Currie Antirock and swap the Toughdog rear panhard (and replace it with the Delta panhard bracket with OEM bar). Panhard easy 5minute job today. Currie Antirock not so easy saved for this weekend. Not looking forward to taking off the 39 spare and the 4x4labs bumper. It's heavy as **** taking it off solo. I'm less happy I need to put it back on after the install!
I know I saw your post on your install. Now I can't seem to find it anymore.I didn't have to remove my 4x4 labs to install my antirock for what it's worth
Having it up a bit higher wouldn't hurt, obviously. So all things being equal, Broski's way is better. But it's more work and more invasive. I don't have issues with getting hung up on it. Some small dents in the tube but no biggieI know I saw your post on your install. Now I can't seem to find it anymore.
how did you slide that long ass outer bar into the frame? Broski did cut into the frame.
EDIT:
Mud search sucks. LOL. Used google to find it.

Currie antirock for rear swaybar
Fits fine if you dont have a spare there - I welded the tube to tabs welded to my bumper so I can remove it all but you could just as easily weld to a frame rail. Seems to slot in right next to the frame just fine. I imagine this will work fine on stock rear axles too. Performance wise it feels...forum.ih8mud.com
Yeah I was originally going to do it your way this till I saw @Broski method of cutting it into his frame.
Damn it. @nukegoat. Now you have me re-evaluating which way is best.
Nukegoat, have you hit your rear antirock after coming off descents before? I like how Broski's is tucked into the frame giving it an extra 3-4 inches of clearance.
@nukegoat way vs @Broski way

Post #267 10 psi to 25 psi in a minute & 30 to 40 seconds, tested it 5 times. For me there no need for 40 PSI for street use. the bigger the tire the less psi needed, lots of info on the net about this. ;) I run my 39s at 20PSI. People look at me crazy when I tell them this. Plenty of info...forum.ih8mud.com
yea damn it. ugh. you guys dont make it easy to pick between inside frame vs bottom frame.Mine is also under the frame. Mostly because it was easier and I didn't trust myself to cut into the frame at equal points. It's so close to the tire that I think it would be really difficult to hit on a rock.
Stop being a wafflemakeryea damn it. ugh. you guys dont make it easy to pick between inside frame vs bottom frame.
Here's an update with measurements now that I'm at 39s + Slee 4" and 30mmsUpdate. I modded the 4x4labs tire carrier and have 39 spare and a triple can gas carrier.
I think there are very few 80s that run tires this big and even have it mounted on a swing out.
Heres some spare tire and bumper height data for those interested.
Turbo80 on OME Js and 35s.
Bottom of tire to floor 32.5".
Bottom of bumper 22.25"
Crawler80 on Tourflex 4 and 39s
Bottom of tire to floor 35.25".
Bottom bumper 26.5"
I forgot to take a measurement of my 37s so using math it'll probably be in the middle of the above data.
There's a big difference in the stance of your panhard with the Delta bracket. You should notice a marked improvement in pavement handling. Have you noticed any?Delta panhard bracket installed back with oem bar.
I only drove it 16 miles yesterday. I noticed it being WAY higher and feeling more sway. Not running any swaybars at the moment. It's a little scary right now. Currie Antirock goes in tomorrow and hopefully, I get to do a test drive again. Can't say it made any difference yet since I haven't really put any real miles on it yet. I will update when I do more seat time. There's a big difference in the stance of your panhard with the Delta bracket. You should notice a marked improvement in pavement handling. Have you noticed any?
