Heading to Big Bear, this Friday, 20th. Going to do Sidewinder. Then maybe Heartbreak Ridge, then moderate to easy trail 2N02 over to Holcolmb valley trail, moderate to easy as well. Stops along the way to sit and eat some snacks and breathe in some clean air.

The hard part, we leave Hacienda Heights area at 4:15am sharp. Or meet at McDonalds in Redlands on 38 (E Lugonia) and Wabash around 5:15am for a quick coffee & McMuffin. Gas station across the street, then head up 38 to 2N01 trail head and air down. Usually heading back to LA around 1pm, so you're home around 3pm. Weather forecast is good. If you are interested you can PM.

Two of us went on Friday. Had the whole south side of big bear mountain to ourselves. Sidewinder is a worthy trail. Coupled with Heartbreak ridge, makes a nice 3 hour ride. The recent rain exposed more rock and brought some down from the upper slopes. Till next time.

Dam it, one day too early, I’m off this weekend there’s a clayhorn run, but over 100 people.... looking for something smaller if a run, it me up if you go a day or 2 later

100 people, that's gonna be like sitting in traffic. We like Friday's because we literally have the whole mountain to ourselves. Very rare to see anyone else. Next time then.

Checking in... I'm from Houston but will be taking a road trip to SoCal this weekend. Anything going on next week/weekend for you guys? I'd like to hitch along with you guys since I've never been on any trails in Cali before. Cheers!
