I noticed that, unfortunately i wouldnt be in californi until the 23/24. I was hoping for something after xmas or the following weekend.

Ah! Ok.
I misunderstood.
Thought you meant this coming weekend.

Sorry guys, I was going to give a report but life got in the way.
HOLY JIM: looks like they paved a good amount of the road after the fire.( HOLY FIRE)
MAPLE SPRINGS: I saw some jeeps and enduro bikes coming out of Silverado Canyon. Yesterday. Trail to the top looks to be open.
Holy Jim is closed to residents only.

Heading to Big Bear, this Friday, 21th. Going to do Gold Mountain or sidewinder, then moderate to easy trail 2N02 over to Holcolmb valley trail, moderate to easy as well. Stops along the way to sit and eat some snacks and breathe in some clean air.

The hard part, we leave Hacienda Heights area at 5am sharp. Or meet at McDonalds in Redlands on 38 (E Lugonia) and Wabash around 6am for a quick coffee & McMuffin. Gas station across the street, then head up 38 to 2N01 trail head and air down. Usually heading back to LA around 2:30pm, so you're home around 4pm. Weather forecast is good. If you are interested you can PM.

Im fairly new to this forum. Bought a new 2018 LC in March and haven't taken it out off road yet. Its fully stock. New to off roading but want to see what it can do. Any suggestions on easy local trails. I live in Pico Rivera.
Thanks

Hey everyone!

Originally from Poway (North County San Diego) but I'm living in Las Vegas right now due to the military. I was wondering if any of you guys know of a good shop in SD that could put on an ARB Bumper/Winch and a BP-51 setup? I could probably do the suspension myself but shop space and time are extremely limited. I'll be in the Poway/Ramona/Lakeside area this weekend for the holidays, looking forward to some Julian Pie!

The Truck Shop on Mira Mar Rd. could handle it but they get very busy so timing may be an issue. Also Bent Motorsports in San Marcos does very good work. Give me a shout I could consume some pie as well. In Ramona area.

I second the vote for Bent Motorsports in San Marcos, fair priced and good people.

I'm in San Marcos. Do yall recommend Bent over Four Wheel Parts or Offroad warehouse?

Absolutely. Dave is very detail oriented. Come by Mike's BBQ for Beach n Toys meeting!

Personally there is no comparison BENT!!

I had a HORRIFICALLY BAD suspension installation experience at Off Road Warehouse in El Cajon (East San Diego County). Like...I-cannot-believe-these-guys level of bad.

So bad...that I drove all the way to Slee (1000 miles away) the next time I needed a major, heavy install.

I grew up in Poway as well, but now live in Los Angeles. Love me some apple crumble or strawberry rhubarb pie when in Julian.

For the roll call - 2011 LX. No mods except 18" wheels.

I went over to 4Wheel Parts and they quoted me 9 grand for a BP-51 setup, ARB Bumper and Warn Winch. I don't have a problem with the cost except for the fact that these guys are a national chain and I feel like their worker bees have no vested interest in the final product IMO.

Woah!! Run away!!!

BP51 with install kits should run under $5k and install should be well under $1k.

Well the Bumper is 2 grand and the winch is 900...so there's that lol.

Ya, sorry. My eyes are screwy and I have to zoom way in on my phone to read at all. Triple vision. Total goof on my part. Thought they quoted you $9000 for only suspension. Dog!

Even though I'm over here in Nevada, if you guys make a run to DV for the weekend to see the racetrack or scotty's castle (they're doing tours on a limited basis), I'd be down to meet up.

$9000.... WHAT...is it made of gold?

Hey @Cruiser Bauers you're in the wrong section! :flipoff2:

Anyone headed/want to head to King of Hammers early February? There are a few from our local TLCA club going. Also another 200 from Instagram (no idea his Mud handle but he has a sweet white truck with gold methods and goes by "Overlanddad" on IG). I'm thinking of heading out after work Thursday Feb. 7 (not optimal but such is life...) and leaving on Saturday. The actual race is on Friday.

$9000 includes ARB bumper ($2500 or so) ...Warn winch (up to $1800) and full BP51 ($4k or so). With installation, that’s in the ballpark.
