Doubt you could pull your trailer with half a drive train working so I like your plan. If you have done that when all this started you’d probably have your Pig and your trailer home by now and be out in your shop this morning fixing things.

I'm sure they are 30 spline, but I'm not sure of the length. It's a Diamond axle housing cut to FJ60 length.

I'm trying again to get a call back from Front Range Offroad.
6 flange bolts and slide it out and get me an overall length of what's in there now.

Thanks Jim for all the offers, I truly know you would hop on a plane to help me. 
I've moved forward after a long day of failed plans and renting a box truck with a 2" ball hitch. I have to convert my pintle hitch trailer to a 2" hitch and then I'll tow home my trailer. Then I'm driving back down here with my equipment and haul my 55 home. I've had a friend of a friend try to get a hotshot, but it didn't work out. I just finished walking up and down the road trying to find the right coupler for the trailer, nothing. So, in the morning a welding shop is going to fab up one. I can't rent a pickup with a hitch on it here and go out of state. I could write a book on this one. 
Main thing, I'm safe and in a nice hotel, so all I have left to do is face Jeri when I get home.

I've been walking up and down this hwy. everyday. Today walked three miles looking for the right coupler for the trailer. Another couple days and I'm bumping Rush and Hank the Tank for a spot on the bumper/axe picture.
