LOL, that dude in white. He does as little for the song as Jerome from Morris Day and the Time.

Joking about the speeding guys. He told me to post these pictures. He called 911 I responded tried to help. We talked I had a fj40 he had that fj55 lol told him I was gonna post that I got him for speeding. Transmisson issues thinking clutch related. Normally I'd just let him tell yall, but I'm not sure if he has a computer with him.

Man, I leave you guys alone for a couple days and the thread goes down the drain. :) So, my new buddy from the Carrollton Police saved my bacon today. Not only got me off the road, but set me up with a shop and a hotel. A big thumbs up! 👍 I don't know what happened, down shifted going up hill and heard a noise, no power. The engine revs up and I can shift the transmission, but acts like in neutral. Master cylinder is full, no leaks at slave, etc. All linkages are tight, transmission and transfer case both shift fine. I started to hear a whine? when I pushed in the clutch pedal this morning, thinking maybe the throw out bearing was going bad, but everything was working good through out the day.

Anyway, The transmission shop is looking at it Monday and see if it's something they can handle. If not, then I'll rent a pickup truck and tow the trailer back home, grab my flatbed and trailer, go back down there and haul the Mud Hen home. I'm in a hotel with a dead phone, no cord or anything else for that matter. Popeye Chicken next door, so....:meh:. Post up any ideas and I'll check back on the hotel computer.

While talking to the officer, he says he's a Land Cruiser guy and is on MUD. I couldn't believe it, bigger community than you think. A great guy, did all this on his time off. I'm safe and have a couple plans, so life is fine. Jeri is ready jump into the car and come get me ( I love her ). I tried to get her to bring the flatbed and trailer, not happening. :)

PIG down never a good thing to see, sorry this happened to you on your journey! Glad your at least safe.

I feel your pain. Mine had to piggyback last Sunday.

If you can shift fine and still feel pressure when pushing in the clutch but not engaging, then it's probably the input shaft on the trans or clutch disc broken. The H55 is pretty strong so guessing it's more likely a broken clutch disc.

You can make most (older) manual vehicles shift without a clutch, so whether the throw out is going bad or not won't cause your lack of drive when in gear, that only leaves the actual connection with the clutch/flywheel/input shaft as your culprits.

That's what I'm thinking, too. I keep going over everything I can think of and the input shaft is suspect one. We'll find out Monday when we pull the inspection cover. I wish I knew for sure, could start to overnight some parts. It shifts very well with no noise when running, just spins. I hope you're right Steve and it's just the disc. Thanks for the input. (joke) :)

Hard to believe there'd be any "Jungle Love" Morris Day and the Time fans In this crowd. Maybe Scrapdaddy can add some insight.
I don't know man, when looking through Jeri's seat drawer for some music, I found a Billy Ocean CD. I'll have talk with her later. :)
