Pablo,

The bearing is sealed, so that helps some. The two seals are different size. No rubber parts on them, just metal and a felt like pad. One is very thin and small, not sure about finding a replacement. The other one should be easier, maybe just an oil seal could work?

I got lucky with the bearings and seals. The seals aren't perfect, but will work. Waiting on the winch seals and gaskets, to start putting back together.

Going to be busy anyway, for a couple weeks. The goats started having their kids today. Eight in one day!

Here's what I'll be working on for awhile. Two days old, boy on the left and girl on the right.

To keep this vehicle related, I named the boy " Cruiser " and I thought I should have a women's input in the girls name. So, if Nuclearlemon would like to name the girl, it would help us out.

We always have fun with the names, most leave the farm, but a select few girls get to live here. They start life at about 8 pounds and at one year, are heading to 150 pounds. Some of our better males can top out @ 300 pounds.

We had Nubian goats at home when I was a kid. One time the a nanny had 4 at once and we had to bottle feed them and keep them inside the house. The dogs adopted them too. It was fun to watch the floppy ears following the dog around. The neighbors thought they were puppies.

Ron, 8 in one day? Ya you are going to be busy. Scuff plates going out next week. And something extra.

Thanks Bob.

Hey Bob, We are busy, 16 now and I have one in the kitchen, stomach tubing it with Mother's milk. It's going to be a long night. Thanks for the update on the plates, They're going to look great!

Nocents, A bottle baby is the last thing I need. They are alot of work and very expensive. As soon as this baby is strong enough, it will go back to Mom.

they are adorable. i want a miniature nigerian goat. pighead says no. of course the city probably says no too.

that said, i think the female should be "birfy"

Nuclearlemon,

Birfy it is! She had a rough morning, just got her ear tag. They're starting to " get their legs ", strong enough to start bouncing around and get into trouble. Total so far is 18, looking to have @ 45.

Thanks for the name, my wife likes for all of them to have a name.

Goat names..."Petunia" (Porky Pig's girlfriend).
Then again, "Porky" would be a fine name for a goat...

Pighead,

I'll put your names on the list. I just got back from the barn, we had some more. Right in the middle of a rain storm, I hate that!

That's nothing compared to some of the names we've come up with, over the years. I like to give the stud bucks, manly names like Pulsator, Hammer, Rocky, etc. I try not to name the ones going to the meat market.

Travis,

I named one " Stewie ", My Wife and Granddaughter didn't think it was funny. I did!

I've been trying to get something done, in between having babies. I know the paint won't last long, but I'm still waiting on the seals, thought might as well. besides it's warm in the basement and close to the coffee.

26 and counting! :)

Forgot the pictures! It's bad, when you even paint the u-joints

Ron,

Bad for the rest of us - who aren't as detailed as you, but want (or try) to be. Now every time I look at a part (hello leaf springs) and think "ah, that's ok, who will notice that piece not being re painted" I'll have to think "what would scrapdaddy do?"

Good work man. I'm enjoying watching your progress. There's a '55 that I see around Boise every once in a while that I think maybe that'll be the next project. Although the boss wants a VW thing...we will see. Please keep up the l/c pics!

Best, Travis.-
