Looking for ideas or if someone has had the same issue. Mostly the driver side the mirror glass is shaky as all. Freeway driving is like looking at an earthquake.

Get these. One of the best 60 series upgrades.

I’ve found that when those mirrors start to fail, there’s not much you can do to repair them—short of loading the back with silicone and giving up on the power adjustment. As I see it, your options are:
  • Find a used OEM replacement
  • Purchase the Euro-style OEM mirror, which is still available though manual.
  • Use 70-series power mirrors, noting there will be a gap between the mirror base and the door

Brand new 76 series mirrors are the bomb.. superb mirrors, beautiful views out the back and very stable. Not quite an exact match to the 60 series door profile, but very very close.

I cut up an old school coozie and wedged behind the mirror. Any closed cell foam would work. Make it large enough to be a snug fit when the mirror is extended out in one corner and load it into that corner. Adjust the mirror glass back to where you need it for the right view.

Problem solved. Very happy with these. Fully manual, but that's not much of an issue. OEM look, too.

a small nerf ball squished up behind the glass helps some
there is no way to dis-assemble and tighten it up
similarly I cut a little block of that charcoal grey closed cell packing foam and stuffed it in there like 6 years ago. haven't thought about it until now.
