Pic of my last drive with the 83 before dropping it off at Mudrak's for the new owner. 😢

How did I miss this thread for so long... Here's my stretched 75 :)

Is that horizontal blue?

Not any longer. The original paint was horizontal blue, but due to technical issues on paint quality and colorant selections for 40 year-old paint codes.

I finally selected a standard R-M color, "SB015.00", which was posted by splib in this thread: Need Help With Capri Blue - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/need-help-with-capri-blue.606673/ and is a viable stand-in for Capri Blue 310. Single stage urethane, high end quality R-M UNO HD. The picture in post #12 sold me.

My investigation is included in the following link:

I am too lazy to research back that far and someone did it for me so I will resurrect this thread now that I know about it. Here she is Uma Smurf in her "former" glory.

I also shared this on my build thread but I like it so I am going to share it here too. My new seat covers

I have some blankets in a very close color to my 40 so I can make covers out of them.
I had my mom help me but they were very labor intensive but I am sure an upholstery shop can do it for you

I have been neglecting mine for a while but I may as well update it. Here is a view showing the last thing I did to it. New OEM tail lights and a 4Plus tire rack with OEM hub cap.

Pulled my top to make it easier to drop the Trans&TC for rebuild. Pretty sure this top had never been off, all the hardware looked untouched! Swapped the wheels from my earlier pic back onto my FJ60 and have correct steel wheels and caps on the 40 now. Looking forward to Spring to drive around topless!
