So what's everyone using for seats these days.. I have the stock seats in my FJ/BJ62 but looking for something better... Something with support. I'm guessing there is no bolt on option? I'd doubt that!!!! Don't really care what they're out of, as long as they feel better on longer drives.. Post up pics if you can!

Thanks in advance...

SEARCH

Just type in seats on search and things will come up my friend, there is a lot of write ups on this subject and i'm sure you will find something you like.:)

For my own cruiser i'm planning on 4runner (sr5)seats they have adjustable lumbar and tilt for comfort,if money will allow i'm considering Lancer EVO seats so i could use my 5 point harness.

These are practically a bolt in from what I've read. Supposed to be pretty nice.

Seats : Iron Pig Off Road, Toyota Land Cruiser experts

I have the ProCar seats from Iron Pig Off Road. From start to finsh, the old seat removel to the new seat install took all of ten minutes.

The seats hold you in very well, great for off roading. For the price, I don't think you can beat them.

- Cloth (I like better than vinyl or leather)
- Separate headrests (I prefer to one piece seat backs)
- Cheap at a pick n pull junkyard
- A significant PITA to mod to fit
- Snug lateral support

Ah, as someone with a Scion tc and who hates those seats in that car, I was thinking of tossing them into the 62. Then get better seats for the tc (DD). Do you have a link to the mod?

And to the OP, I've been looking for a set of 01-05 (or so) PT Cruiser seats. I hear you can bolt the 60/62 mounts to the seat PT cruiser bottoms with just a drill and bolts/nuts. All I can find are brownish grey ones. I'd prefer black leather or blue/grey cloth.

While they look REALLY GREAT... $300 each? I guess it is time vs money. The Scion seats took a bunch of time to engineer into the 60, these take a bunch of money...

Ya I'm looking @ something bolt in... Prefer slightly used, but new would be sweet... Hmmm I guess I could use the bases out of my donor truck ad have something just fabbed up with whatever I wanted.. Hmmmm... Good replies so far.. I like the new seats...

OyajiJon, who makes them? Model? Price?
Thank's.

Why do you hate the TC seats?

They just feel too stiff, and when somebody adjusts the driver seat, it takes me quite a few tries to get it to where it's comfortable. A few people who have driven it have commented that they do not really like them.

Funny because EVERYONE that has sat in the Scion seats in my 60 gets a big smile on their face and says "wow"... I really do love them... I wonder if it has to do with the more upright position in the truck vs the lower feet-out-in-front position in the xC?

Could be. I'm thinking they have to be an improvement in the LC. Position change makes sense.

Those seats by from Iron Pig look fantastic!

Those seats are full suspension seats made by, the no longer in business, Hunsaker. They are bolted to a frame that was made by a fabrication bad-ass by the name of FC. The frame bolts to the stock seat holes in the floor.
