I purchased some fitted recover seat covers from cruiser corps for a 67' fj40. It has a passenger bench seat with a single drivers seat. I was just curious about the installation. I have heard you need to hog ring it. I have no experience with this process. Some advice would be nice. Thanks.

First we must see pictures of your 40 before we are willing to help :)

Welcome to MUD!

In transparency, I am about to order their covers for my 72, so am also interested in how difficult the installation will be.

No hog rings on that setup IIRC. The seat will use wire and screws that hold it down below backing plates. Use the search section, there has to be a write up somewhere.

Searched for ya. Didn’t find a step by step. Gotta be a thread somewhere.:meh:

Found @Millardo’s thread during search. He does top notch work. Maybe he’ll chime in

You may not have hog rings, but don't fear them. Use a needle-nose vise grip pliers to bend open the old ring and remove it, and buy a set of hog ring pliers (and a big bag of rings) to re-install. You'll be upholstering like a pro in no time.
