Start your pano in landscape mode on your subject (my truck) and slowly “pan” vertically until you see the other horizon. Stretch first though

It does weird things to people though…

If you'll let a bit of a hardcore type build in I'd love to try to make it.
SAS requirements are Solid front axle in a Toyota 4WD vehicle. These are folks willing to drive hundreds of not thousands of miles to Ouray and back. It's more of a reunion of dirty hands type Toyota gearheads than a show off meet. If your rig is street legal and insured we would enjoy having you join us.

@Arya Ebrahimi had his Aqualu 40 KOH inspired buggy there this year and we both felt welcomed by all. Is the truck overbuilt for every trail there? Yes. Did we have an absolute blast? Yes.

I can only speak for myself but I was there for the camaraderie, scenery and to see some of the restorations/builds I see here.

Thanks so much, to all.

The body is all Toyota, if not some Aqualu.
Dana 60’s from the truck I learned to drive in, on a highly modified ford frame. With a Cummins 6bt.
The spirit is 100% Toyota.

I have definitely become a gearhead.
But I could understand being rejected at this level of custom, as a pure Toyota event.
I am also 100% down for some ribbing and being poked at.

I’ve been there in my Tundra, more overlanding and trail style. Driven to Telluride to ski a few times, always looked longingly at the roads across the valley from the front side lifts, even as a little kid, 40 some years ago.

I’ll see if I can make it in when the time comes.

I think it's a little off-putting and short sighted to exclude our 6wd brethren. 🤣

Peeled the SAS stickers off the pickup today. Would've done it sooner but it's been sitting at a Ford dealership pretty much since we got back.

Might be time for a wash. 😆

Referring to the Sniper 2300 fuel injector issues. There is no known off the shelf solution for this yet. We were fortunate to have one of our awesome sponsors roll through about the time we realized shipping from Holly or similar would be 5-10 days out. @kelly saad owner of Land Cruiser Grills had a sniper in his shop in Flagstaff AZ. He had his shop package, deliver to UPS and shipped within an hour. Many thanks for going above and beyond Kelly.
Injectors arrived next day and we had the 40 running again in less than 10 minutes.

PSA: if you run a Sniper 2300 on your Cruiser I suggest having a couple of spare injectors in your tool kit. Easy to diagnose and repair but with parts being specific to this application there is no known VatoZone, Napa or O'Daley's off the shelf part yet.
Sniper 2300 fuel injector part number. 522-101X is the factory part number.

Finally downloaded a few more pics that were on my Canon camera from the event... maybe a few of you will recognize yourself or your LC

(hopefully I figured this dropbox thing out...)
The group photo was so good I had to do some love on it.

Here are a few branded group shots, in case anyone wants to get large back or neck tattoos. Its whatever. Special thanks to Ian Kasnoff @RevISK and Erik "with a K" Johnson @Plains Cruiser for stepping in to lend their time and talent this year. It was much appreciated, gentlemen. I enjoyed meeting and hanging out with you both! You went above and beyond. Thank you so much.

Ugh, I'm so bummed I missed the picture. Stuck on the trail and could not get back in time.
