LOL I have a memory like a steel sieve. But I cannot wait to get back out there. I need to get to AZ too, maybe this year I'll schedule a couple weeks and see some new stuff. Or maybe I'll convince the wife to move out there. Hey she likes Sedona....

Testing some new gear for this years SAS! I’m not pulling a camper again.

Some of you may remember talking to me about my attempt while at SAS#3 to make a 40th yr anniversary run over Black Bear and Imogene in my '79. You will all of course remember that BB was not open. Not only that but I had a bad fuel pump trying to get there Sunday, followed by broken bolts holding my E brake drum to the T-case coming down Yankee Boy, the one trail I got on... But not to be thwarted in our quest (and to give you all a bit of "man I wish it was August already" feeling like I'm having), Jan and I headed back over to Ouray several weeks later and did the BB/Imogene loop. Pulled the AT and spent a couple nights at the KOA. This time it all worked out. Colors were spectacular especially coming back up Imogene!

Looks like the Iconic Overhang on the Camp Bird Mine road that leads to Imogene, Governors Basin and Yankee Boy has collapsed. Glad I was able to experience that with most of you guys.
