Man, I better get moving on the '71 build.Excellent choice my friend.
SAS #4 will be the year we celebrate one of the most Iconic 4wd vehicles ever produced.
The Mighty FJ40, if you have one plan on bringing it. I know I am.

Nothing quite beats an epic Land Cruiser repair at 13,000+ feet.+1 for the video submission because photos alone clearly arn’t enough

Did we ever find out who was the guy with deferred maintenance? You find out who good people are on trips like these... and who has deferred maintenance.
killed starter in the foreground. Good thing I wore board shorts that day because it was a Willy Wonka style river under that truck coming down the trail.

You drove your rig 1,500 miles, wheeled it, and drove it another 1,500 miles home. Nothing wrong with that!I was under the truck more than I was driving it this year. I’d likely have more luck driving the 40 out than the 60 after my luck last year.
Man, I dunno.. I would love to but that would pretty much necessitate trailering and a bunch of hasty work. The 76 I'd need to slam back together and skip a few steps regarding final paint, to be redone later...which I don't mind and may be a good litmus test prior to "final" assembly and prettying up. The 61 is up to the task but has no useable top and is still rocking a 1F and 3 speed and I've been in an ongoing battle for many months with 2 states over the title... I would totally rally that out solo, but Shelley is not gonna miss it (and I'm not gonna let her), so if we do bring a 40 it would likely be on a trailer and we'd do some easy days on account of having a 7 month old, a 3 year old, the dog and us two packed into a 40.Klaus, are you driving your 40 to SAS#4? Come on man!
If I don't get my '71 FJ40 build done I'd definitely consider bringing my '76 FJ40 again this year - we need more FJ40 participation IMHO.I was toyin around with drivin my 1963 stock FJ40LV for SAS#4. got some maintenance to do on her.
SAS always needs more Georgia people! Go Dawgs!Daniel and I will be back! One of the best trips I have ever been on, and he's still talking about moving out there.
