We got both trucks back at 0100 on Thursday morning after a detour to Moab. Thanks to Casey and crew for throwing another amazing event! Here are some random shots from the trip…

That trip A represents two SAS’s, trip out and back plus other fun side trips. Only mechanical issues were a required brake bleed in camp at SAS 10 and replacing some front driveshaft bolts that left the chat, most likely due to operator error. Shout out to Rusty Nail for helping with the bolts on short notice!

I was wanting to talk to you about your sweet 79 series pick up. But then again I was wanting to talk to most people about their rigs. Usually it was for the CLCP. I just didn't want to be that annoying guy though. On a side note I think I have enough SAS podcast episodes on the Classic Land Cruisers Podcast for almost to the end of September.

I was wanting to talk to you about your sweet 79 series pick up. But then again I was wanting to talk to most people about their rigs. Usually it was for the CLCP. I just didn't want to be that annoying guy though. On a side note I think I have enough SAS podcast episodes on the Classic Land Cruisers Podcast for almost to the end of September.

Major shout out to Rusty Nail. Super helpful having you guys close to camp. Much appreciated, fellas. It’s a huge help and hopefully worth your while.

To those of you who got cornered by me and ended up becoming guests on the podcast for the SAS 10 episodes, THANK YOU VERY MUCH! I just now finished editing the LAST SAS on location episodes. For those of you who do not have the attention span for my normal hour long episodes these SAS episodes are going to be great for you. I think @John McVicker and @ceylonfj40nut had the longest episodes at just over a half an hour. If I can get through me bumbling all over the place you should be able to as well. There are 7 total SAS episodes some driver experiences, some trail reports, some getting to know the people behind the rigs. I have them scheduled to come out a week apart, basically now till the end of September. For me it was great to go back and relive the event, which was making me want to go back.

(I kinda had to chuckle to myself as I was editing that the episodes are 414-420 for the cruiser her recap episode, especially since there were times that I could smell people partaking of the "Colorado libations" and the last episode of the trip is 420)

A little bit of cross posting here, but here is the latest SAS episode

This week's episode of the Classic Land Cruisers Podcast SAS 10 recap is live now. I give a trail report as we are heading to the top of Engineer Pass at 12,800 feet. I talk to some of the drivers of the 3-80 series, the 2-60 series and yes even the 2 45's that came. I even got a cameo from a 1st gen 4Runner with a solid axle.

I headed home last week and I got these two shots on my way out. The first one is Whitmore Falls and the second one is Nellie Falls, both just outside of Lake City on Engineer Pass. It was a very quiet day. Most of the tourists have gone home and I saw three jeeps and one sxs on the trail, which is pretty crazy for a Sunday.

A huge thanks goes to the SAS crew. Had it not been for SAS, I'm not sure that I would have met Tim and Ian. Eight months ago I had no idea how powerful the Adobe Creative Suite had become. Now I can't imagine working without these tools.

The image on these shirts are from the Yankee Girl Mine that I took on Monday 8/3 while I was on a test run to work on my Land Cruiser. I don't want to promote them here. I just wanted to say thanks for the push to explore Adobe again. Prior to this year I had been using free open-source software and spending hours trying to create content like this. Thanks for the encouragement, Tim and Ian! I'm not sure if I owe you one or deserve payback. ha!
