So thank you to all of those that couldn't avoid me while at SAS now comes the "fun" part for me. I have to upload and edit ALL of those conversations, not really take stuff out but correct the typos. The first episode will be out next week with the legendary @John McVicker

Somebody at SAS had a full set of silver reflective window shades in their 60 at SAS. We chatted about it and I looked at the brand name, but of course now I forget both whose truck that was and what brand the shades were!

Anybody remember that conversation? I thought the brand was “Heather’s” but google isn’t pulling anything up!
Look at post #2254 in this thread, maybe that's him.

@kody472 who rolled to SAS with me had those in his 60. If you want, text me for his number.

Home Safe. We had a great time. Thanks to all the organizers, KOA and other sponsors.

Landed back home in Northern MI. Somehow the belt tensioner at the idler pulley on the 60 came unhooked. Spent a little time in Nebraska quick fixing that. I hope you guys found the 3 bottles of bourbon I left for Thursday Trivia in Cozy Cabin 5. I wanted to keep it air conditioned since the carnage award Weller and the SAS engraved Whistle Pig bottles blew their cork in the heat of the HQ tent. The Willet was from a limited allocation and I’ve never even had it. Lmk how it tastes!!!!! Great to reconnect w everyone.

You can kind of see the rear one here. Says he has them for all windows.

I see the suction cups so I thought they might be from solar screen at first, but it looks like a different stitch pattern.

FWIW, I just priced out a full set from Solar Screen for my 60, comes out to AUD$453 + AUD$190 shipped to US.

Who is the legend driving his 40 Home to Texas from SAS? I say “his” because the women I know are smarter than this. : )
Larry, I remember seeing this post.

I think that was me, here's a link!

I wanted to get "snap shades" but at the time they weren't interested in making templates for me, so I got these a couple years ago, they've been great so far and appear to be really well made. I got these before the tariff situation and felt they were really reasonable for the quality.

Edit* might have been multiple conversations haha, reloaded the page and saw other replies :)

So I just got the second episode edited and ready to publish for the 19th. What did you guys think that I was going to have them all come out at the same time 😉. This episode is a trail report of Engineer pass where I tagged along with @RiggityJ and @HemiAlex.

Arrived back at my cabin at 2:30 this afternoon. Great event. A big thank you to Casey, the crew in the tent, the sponsors, the KOA, AND everyone in attendance.

And you too did a great job Dan…always busy. Great to have you along.👍

The adventure keeps going. Mamabear does Moab.

The temps were no joke. We just exited by Potash and it was a still 102*. Had some fuel and temp anxiety but we got over it. @RiggityJ

I keep a relatively decent account of the gallons I use to track mpg. Mostly for curiosity sake but also to help identify any problems that may be arising.

If I remember, I’ll post my total.
Approximately 154 gallons of fuel over 2,264.8 miles (adjusted for tires) for an average of 14.7 mpg.

Had a lot of good wind both directions.

Good to be home but now the least favorite part of putting everything away starts…

Thanks everybody for another great year.

Ian
