Sorry @PabloCruise, but my cell phone was dead the day Kate helped out with the pig. I did, however, shoot her a text today, so she sent me a pic of her and another vehicle she had been working on. I think perhaps it is one of @scrapdaddy 's old vans?

Maybe you could send her over to Jason's @scorcher1967 to work on Project Movie Star? I live pretty close to him, so I could go over and "assist", or something...

Seriously, how cool would it be to have a photo shoot like that with a Pig in it?!?

NO WONDER THEY'VE APPRECIATED SO MUCH

Try searching for pics on the Interweb of such a thing; lots of 40s, some 60s, some FJs, 0 pigs. I'm guessing the modeling world has recognized that a 55 would steal the show:D

So......,
Was this black-tar-bitumen-hellacious crap a factory option, or does someone deserve a kick in the nuts (or both)?:censor:

On the plus side, I believe I can now justify the purchase of an oscillating multi-tool:D

Also been getting to know the MB OM617a a bit. Thermostat housing, water pump/housing, radiator and fan have all been pulled. Rad is at the shop getting a rod-out and top tank fixed, and a new to me water pump housing is in the mail (discovered holes in one of the outlet nipples).

Radiator should be done tomorrow, and I've acquired all other parts to put the cooling system back together. If the WP housing gets here Friday or Sat, I may be able to drive the pig on Monday!

I used an air hanger with a chisel blade to remove the tar crap. Worked great.
Sounds like a good tactic. Unfortunately, I have a construction compressor, and not a garage compressor:(

Going to go for an oscillating electrical tool with a similar function as the air tool, however.

Ferntucky,

Pick up some dry ice too. Works great with your oscillating tool. When I removed the roof glue, went with a cheap HF tool, thinking I'd never use it after that one job.

wouldn't it be easier to just buy some floor pans and cut that crap out?

forgive me for trying to live right thru others...
