Hope you're keeping all of the old hard to find parts for us drum brake, F carbed, and course spline purists. My gut feels like I`m being stabbed and the knife twisted every time you undo the original stuff on one of these oldies, I like your builds anyway! ;) :zilla:
I have a mostly complete 69 front end sitting in my driveway if you want it. 🙂

Vermin control perhaps? All I need is my .22 for gophers!!

Literally just a toy. I have a silenced 10/22 that I mainly use. It’s dead silent.

I actually have a rack of ugly black guns in case I need them way out here in the country.

I agree with Nolen on the brakes and steering etc. Pulled tons of old 6 spline stuff over the years, in the 20+ years of moving that stuff around I have had the honor of recycling one 6 spline birf to someone local. Lucky for them I had kept one as a book case end. Us restomodders will almost always recycle if it's an option but storing that junk is not worth the time. Never has anyone said I need 9mm brake fitting till this week and then I still recommended upgrading to 10mm as the only option cause I had tossed all the 9mm fitting years ago. I do have a couple balls from an old ball and claw that will someday be turned into a shifter knob.

I agree drum brakes are junk, but why would you be pitching coarse spline birfs? I've been following your builds and lately you've used the bolt on frt disc kits, which retains the coarse birf. If those folks break a coarse birf they'll need a replacement.

I have trouble throwing any cruiser part away, thus the junkyard that has formed over the years! Luckily I have space far from the house and out of site! I think I have at least a dozen early complete axles! I really dont like drums either, but when set up correctly they work very well.

I’ve only used one of those kits. The rest are 60 series.

I don’t toss the Birfs. They are all over my shop as art

Thanks again for that birf! 👍🏼

@lcwizard has a new option on his swingouts.

Theses 4 holes are a pain in my old ass to drill out but these kick ass drill bits help a lot

I carved out the bumperette to fit

Lifted that heavy ass tire and wheel up there. I love these things.

That keeps the tire from swinging back in on a slope? Nice.

Been waiting on you to add that bumperette back to one. Looks awesome. Im sold.
how much of the bumperette did you have to take out?

I’ve been doing to to all the ones with the round tail lights. The 74+ won’t bolt back up. I’m sure some fab could be done but the carrier covers the stock holes on them

Not much to take off. Just a little flap disc. 1/2” maybe. Cruiser Corps pewter touch up paint

What’s your personal preference on the 15in vs 16in steelie with skinny 33s? Since you’ve done quite a few 40s with each setup. Any differences you notice? Top notch work with Rosie as always 👍🏼

As a reformed 10/22 addict....
If you haven't already, swap out the bolt retention pin for a polymer one. Quiets up the action significantly. A little more extreme, but a stainless receiver also quiets things up over aluminum.

Of course I really love the looks of the 255/85-16 Yokohama. The square pattern just has the right look on an old Cruiser.

That said, if the person has 15” wheels that will work (welded steel) or 60 series chrome they like then it’s great to have the Kenda option. I don’t like any of the 33x10.50-15 options for a “skinny” look
