Well bad news for the LX450 owners. Sewell Lexus that used to give us "mud like discounts" is no longer accepting online orders. So need to find a new place that will give discounts on the Lexus specific parts.

Knew I should have bought those seat foams when I ordered last.

At some point it is going to start being easier to swap in aftermarket seats, etc.

Oh I do have new in plastic grey sunroof surround trim if anyone wants it. Oak is no longer available.
 
Are the Lexus front seat foams still available? I was under the impression they weren't.
 
Oh I thought that you and CDan weren't able to get Lexus parts. If you can, I will probably just get with you. Is it going to be a lot of work for you having to call another dealer or something??

Someone tell me again, I forget; will the LX450 foam seat cushions fit correctly in a FZJ80 leather seat, and what is the difference comparing the two, is the LX foam softer?
 
TMC Japan has structured the distribution network in a manner whereby brand-specific parts can only be obtained from a branded dealer.

Toyota-specific parts are available only from Toyota Dealers and Lexus-specific parts are available only from Lexus Dealers.

Common-use parts are available on both sides of the fence, under the same part number.

Common parts look-up is inhibited by the fact that Toyota will not license Lexus catalogs to a Toyota Dealer and vice-versa.....

It is very unlikely that a Toyota owner would try to buy from a Lexus Dealer and it is absolutely more unlikely that a Lexus Dealer would divulge part numbers so the "looker" could then see if the numbers are live on the Toyota side of the fence....:meh:

I didn't realize you couldn't get Lexus parts through a Toyota dealer.
Dan(@cruiserdan ), have you actually tried to input a Lexus P/N and order it through the system with the blue screen? (sorry I don't know how the ordering works exactly. Or have you not tried because you can't "see" the Lexus P/Ns and therefore you don't know what they are?

I realize that that sounds like I'm implying that there are part numbers you DON'T know:eek:, and I'm sorry, but I wouldn't know without asking.

For once, I have a part (DS LX450 foam back) stockpiled that @NLXTACY does not already have?!?

I may have both LX DS bottom and top foams up for sale soon. I've about had it with my power seats...
 
Sewell parts were higher when I checked.
I just ordered new LX headlamp assemblies, left and right, from a source I use. I put this off long enough. Can't get much more LX specific than LX headlights.
Hoping they send exact numbers I put in as I opted not to provide VIN. Will post up when received.

Lexus-only part numbers come up as "PART NOT FOUND" when input into Dealer Daily or any DMS master files. They are "invisible" to Toyota Dealers.

For several years quite a few LX450-specific parts were coded incorrectly by TMC and although they were not listed in Land Cruiser catalogs the numbers were live on the Toyota side of the fence. The error was discovered about three years ago and "corrected"......:bang:
